Hello again, probably sick of me by now!
Im 6 months pregnant with Boy/Girl twins, was going to keep genders a suprise but curiosity got the better of me and i also was getting to stressed about names, now that i know what were expecting im trying desperately to limit our list. We probably wont 100% choose the names until after the birth but i would like to have a couple of choices each.
As ive posted before i really am loving the name [name]Harper[/name] at the moment, i know its a little trendy at the moment with the celebs but i genuinely like it. We live in New Zealand and our name trends are often a little different so im hoping it hasnt climbed too much when the 2011 name lists come out early in jan next year.
The problem i/we have is that i havent been able to team [name]Harper[/name] with a good middle name, i tend to be too picky or ill settle and like something but eventually change my mind. We would like a girly/feminine MN seeing as though [name]Harper[/name] is unisex.
[name]Ive[/name] posted a few times about a middle name for a possible [name]Harper[/name] but havent had much luck so i thought i would copy and paste our original name list we made back when i was only 10 weeks along and see what you guys think of the list and if you can see any names working with [name]Harper[/name].
Have taken a few names out allready just ones that i cant use even though we like them and there is a few on there that probably wont work, either too unisex or too similar to [name]Harper[/name] but anyway i look forward to seeing what you have to say.
Thankyou
[name]Adele[/name], [name]Emery[/name], [name]Ireland[/name], [name]Kendall[/name], [name]Riley[/name], [name]Seraphina[/name], [name]Sienna[/name] are my favourites, but a lot of them are pretty masculine. I love word names, but I feel like with a word middle name [name]Harper[/name] starts to sound like Hyper for some reason.
I love [name]Harper[/name], btw! I hope it’s not too popular as a kiwi name though, as you said. Good luck!
I like -
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Adele[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Indigo[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Tallulah[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Talia[/name]
I picked those combos because to my ear they flow the best, and the middle names are more feminine - except for [name]Indigo[/name], which I chose because I like the way it sounds with [name]Harper[/name].
My favorites are…
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Adele[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Eden[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
There are some other really great combos with [name]Harper[/name] on your list, but these were the ones that jumped out at me the most. best of luck to you!
With [name]Harper[/name], I think it pairs well with a more feminine, frilly name:
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]
and a few you didn’t mention that I thought I would suggest from my favorite girls’ names list…
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Just[/name] some ideas =0)
My absolute favorite (not on your list) is [name]Harper[/name] [name]Anna[/name], potentially as a double name. It’s high on our list right now
I would caution against using “[name]Harper[/name] [name]Avery[/name]” (even though those are two of my favorite names individually!) because it has a pretty strong association with the show [name]Grey[/name]'s Anatomy
I like:
[name]Addison[/name] (unisex)
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Ainsley[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Aubrey[/name]
[name]Ava[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name] (I like the sound of these two together, but since [name]Harper[/name] is a little unisex, and [name]Bellamy[/name] is too, I’d use a “girlier” middle name)
[name]Blair[/name]
[name]Blake[/name] (unisex)
[name]Chloe[/name]
[name]Ella[/name]
[name]Emery[/name] (unisex)
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name]
[name]Leah[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] (I’d do something like [name]Amelia[/name], where you could get [name]Mia[/name] as a nickname)
[name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Riley[/name] (unisex)
[name]Willow[/name]
I think my FAVORITES would be [name]Harper[/name] [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Harper[/name] [name]Leah[/name], [name]Harper[/name] [name]Kendall[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] [name]Ella[/name].
