I’m transmasc, and looking for a new name to use next year when I start uni. My deadname begins with E, but I don’t need my chosen name to. That said, my current favourite contenders are: Eden/Eder and Ciel. I also really like Rodger and Maximilien, but I know these two are very traditionally masculine, and as I don’t pass well yet, I wouldn’t want to cause lots of people to ask questions.
If anyone has any name suggestions to broaden my options, I would be very grateful. I’m looking for something that’s neutral, but more on the masculine side. I also like names with more of round feeling, so preferably none that begin with X or Z or J, but rather E, C, M or R (not limited to these though).
Note: I love names with a nature vibe, french, gothic, and classic british as well
I think [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_u]Ciel[/name_u] are lovely choices. As an idea, if you feel [name_m]Maximilien[/name_m] fits you better, how about using [name_u]Max[/name_u] at first? I don’t know if people would ask if it’s short for something, but answering “it’s just [name_u]Max[/name_u] for now” might handle that nicely? This would mean you could move towards using [name_m]Maximilien[/name_m] quite smoothly at a later point in time. I’ve just read that Stephie has suggested this too ^
Here’s my best shot at neutral names, leaning masc, with a rounded sound or some [name_u]Brit[/name_u] picks you may like. I’m in the UK myself so sometimes that influences what I think leans masc - something to bear in mind when receiving suggestions from international Berries of course ~
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_u]Marlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Brodie[/name_m]
[name_u]River[/name_u]

[name_u]Cal[/name_u], [name_m]Calihan[/name_m], [name_u]Calloway[/name_u]
[name_u]Pip[/name_u], [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_u]Percy[/name_u]
[name_u]Dagny[/name_u], [name_u]Harry[/name_u] (apparently it sounds like Hairy in some American accents, if that’s the case for you I guess it’s not the one!)
[name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_u]Aven[/name_u], [name_u]Arley[/name_u], [name_u]Arlen[/name_u]

I wish I could say that [name_u]Camille[/name_u] would some across as totally neutral, but I think in the English-speaking world it would be assumed feminine.
