Christina Aguilera has Baby Girl

[name_f]Christina[/name_f] Aguilera recently had her second baby, a girl, and she named her [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u]. [name_f]Summer[/name_f] joins big brother [name_u]Max[/name_u] Liron.

What do you think of her daughters name? I think it has a nice, musical ring to it. Its kinda cute

I like the imagery of [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u], but it still makes me want to roll my eyes.
Seems like the perfect playmate for [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u]'s daughter [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] :stuck_out_tongue:

It is cheesy, but also weirdly lovely. I’m torn.

When I first read that, I literally said out loud: “Oh no. Please no, tell me that’s not right.” And I went and checked Celebrity [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Scoop, and it was. [name_u]Max[/name_u] Liron is so handsome, and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u] is soooooo cheeesssyy I can’t even take it! [name_f]Summer[/name_f] ___ <— Anything else but a nature name would have been just okay.

Bleck. I really am so disappointed. I loved her meaning behind Max’s name; especially the middle name of his. I can only hope there is some kind of special meaning behind this name too.

I can’t decide if it’s cheesy or lovely, similar to lookingahead. I love [name_f]Summer[/name_f], but the [name_u]Rain[/name_u] part is catching me.

[name_f]Summer[/name_f] would have been fine. I just really dislike the [name_u]Rain[/name_u] middle. Too cheesy.

[name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u] hmm although has a nice ring to it cos of the er and R start for rain it made me cringe! I was like oh dear! I dont like it to be honest… [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Cloud[/name_u] might have sounded better… :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it’s dreadful. [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is alright and while it doesn’t go all that well with [name_u]Max[/name_u], it’s a nice name. Then they threw [name_u]Rain[/name_u] in there and ballsed it all up. [name_u]Rain[/name_u] in itself is just a tad meh, no? It’s not one of those words that translate well into a name. And if they had to, they could have made it [name_f]Raine[/name_f] instead (no pun intended) to make it a little less wordy. But [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u]? [name_f]My[/name_f] own mum is quite the hippie and not even she would consider such a combination. Poor girl (or, well, not, because she’s born into an entitled world and will probably attended schools with loads of children with whacky names).

Or the only way for Aguilera to make it to the news these days. I call attention-seeking name on this one.

I’m not a fan, but it is a lot more normal than most celeb kids’ names.

I love [name_f]Summer[/name_f], I love [name_u]Rain[/name_u], but together they’re too wordy for me. It reminds me of a rainstorm taking place in summer.

I really like [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] together as siblings. But, I too hate the cheesiness of [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u].

I love the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f], and I love the name [name_u]Rain[/name_u], but not together. It’s just a bit too wordy for this day and age.

Trashy, imo.

It’s both cheese and gorgeous! I’m totally smitten.

I vote cheesy. I never liked the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f].

Compared to other celeb baby names out there [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u] isn’t that bad [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I actually kind of like the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f], but the middle [name_u]Rain[/name_u] does kind of make it cheesy and to me it sounds a bit like a weather forecast.

Very cheesy and it reminds me of Summer’s Eve (feminine hygiene products).

Rule of thumb: If you’re using two nature/word names, one of them has to be subtle.
Less cheesy alternatives to Summer Rain:

Summer Amaya
Summer Lluvia
Summer Nimbus
Vera Rain
Chia Rain

[name_f]Summer[/name_f] is an acceptable name and [name_u]Rain[/name_u] is in the middle so I assume they’ll call her [name_f]Summer[/name_f] all the time and thus name doesn’t bother me. However, I am disappointed. [name_u]Max[/name_u] Liron means “my greatest song” and I loved it as it referenced her career in a discreet way. I expected something equally genius with her daughter and I am very disappointed.

[name_f]Summer[/name_f] is cute, but adding [name_u]Rain[/name_u] just ruins it.

I was really surprised that she used the cheesy route…I bet it will catch on though.
