Ciara?

WDYT of [name]Ciara[/name] ([name]KEER[/name]-uh)? [name]Do[/name] you think it would be mispronounced too often?

Over here it’d be fine. I doubt everyone would say it right every time outside of the British Isles though  It’s definitely the spelling I like the most; the original and best

Oh my American brain wants to say see-are-ah. I know it’s not right but it’s what I see. [name]Kira[/name] gets at what you want but it’s not as pretty as [name]Ciara[/name].

I know how to say it and it would be fine out here (Australia) but I honestly prefer the Russian [name]Kira[/name] to the Gaelic [name]Ciara[/name]. I like a lot of Gaelic names more than I like [name]Ciara[/name].

I see this > as [name]Keira[/name]/ [name]Kira[/name] / [name]Kyra[/name]

[name]Ciara[/name] is pn Key-arah to me… I think its been mispronounced BIG time!

I think it would, but I also don’t care. I love [name]Ciara[/name] and prn it [name]KEER[/name]-ah. I don’t particularly like K’s (they just seem like a useless letter to me lol) and would spell it the traditional Irish way despite the confusion. I live in Australia, though, and we have a large Irish community, so I don’t think it would be that hard for me to get people to understand that spelling choice. It may be different in your area.

I like it. Here in the states, it would be mispronounced quite a bit. There was a popular singer with the name [name]Ciara/name, so until recently that how I thought it was pronounced.
