Ciela. The meaning is absolutely beautiful and DM name ends with “ela” so it has that extra puzzle piece.
I cant find a lot on this name though so I’m curious to your thoughts. Preferably pronounced see-ella. But is that the way most would? I see its french and/or Spanish so is there a “correct” pronunciation to it? Does it mean something different in another language? It’s a bit unusual for my taste…but its growing on me. What does everyone think? Do you foresee pronunciation problems?
Once you said to pronounce it as see-ella, I started to like it a lot!
But at first, I wasn’t sure how to pronounce it at all - so I think there would be some issues with pronunciation. But it’s beautiful!
I love the name but I do see a possibility of mispronounciations that can easily be corrected
I think it’s really pretty! See-ella is how I would automatically pronounce it due to ciel. I think pretty much every name, even common ones, get mispronounced, so that’s not something I would worry too much about. When I put it in google translate, it didn’t come up as a word in another language, so I think you’re good there
I love Ciela. I like the see-ella pronunciation. I’m pretty sure Ciela is deprived from [name_u]Ciel[/name_u] literally meaning “sky” in [name_u]French[/name_u]. So I guess Ciela means sky. I think it’s pretty.
Ciela is beautiful! It has an ethereal and unique feel while also being familiar.
It’s really pretty and different! I’ve seen Cielo as a name before, which is literally Spanish for “sky”, but I honestly think Ciela could work as well!
I assumed it was pronouced SEE-la. To me it looks like a shorter version of [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f].
As a Spanish speaker, it would be more pronounced as see-eh-la! It’s a beautiful name (derived from [name_u]Cielo[/name_u] meaning “sky”) but it is part of a meme in Latin American countries haha!
I’m in the UK and I could definitely learn to pronounce this as See [name_f]Ella[/name_f], if I saw it written down I’d likely read it initially as [name_f]Celia[/name_f]
