We are stuck between the two names [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. We are in the U.S> and pronounce [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (Claire-uh).
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]The[/name_m] middle names we are choosing between are
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Clara[/name_f]? Which middle name pairing do you like the best or is there a better one you can think of?
I personally prefer Clara!! She’s always seemed just a little spunkier than the down-to-earth [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and I love how [name_f]Clara[/name_f] sits with your middles!!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorite is [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I think she’s stately and gorgeous
I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f]! I think it’s a little less common than [name_f]Claire[/name_f] which makes it a bit more sparkly for me, but I love the sound of both names. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combo with your middles in [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] which flows so beautifully. (though it reminds me a little bit of [name_m]Christmas[/name_m], with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] from [name_m]The[/name_m] Nutcracker and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] together – not sure if that would bother you). I also love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
Which middles have more significance to you? That might help narrow it down. I don’t like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f] with [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] because of the flow.
I think that Claire sounds feminine yet tailored and strong. I like this spelling, but you might also consider Clare or the alternative spelling of Elisabeth. I love Lise as a nickname for Elisabeth.
I like the pattern of the one syllable first name and the multi syllable middle. I like that both names are classics.
As a [name_f]Brit[/name_f] berry I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] pronounced KLAARA I think she’s absolutely stunning!
[name_f][/name_f]
However within the states I think I do prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f] over [name_f]Clara[/name_f] as I feel [name_f]Claire[/name_f] has a prettier sound. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is very timeless with that little black dress quality to her a rather graceful option. All three middle names are beautiful however I prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I’ve always loved [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is just effortless.
They’re both beautiful, but I’m another vote for team [name_f]Clara[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] work well, but I think I prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is just a bit too Christmas-y / girly, I like the vibe of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] best
[name_f][/name_f]
With [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] both work well! [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is a bit too wordy for me (which isn’t fair since neither are words, but [name_f]Claire[/name_f] to Clear and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] to [name_m]Noel[/name_m] which in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] is widely recognized as [name_m]Christmas[/name_m] given [name_f]French[/name_f] speaking population). With two other great options, I’d stear clear.
As a [name_f]Clara[/name_f] lover & truther another vote for [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f] myself! [name_f][/name_f] She’s one of my favorites. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is beautiful too but I prefer the European KLAH-rah pronunciation. [name_f][/name_f] From your options for middles, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is my favorite full name!
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. Both beautiful. I think I’m slightly leaning towards [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f].
My favourites are [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but I don’t know how I feel about the American pronunciation. They’re both lovely names and I don’t think you can really go wrong here!
I personally really like [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. It’s delicate, timeless, and versatile in a way few names are.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]In[/name_m] terms of flow, I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] / [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] / [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] fairly equally, I think they both sound nice. With middle name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] better than [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], where the a sound at the end of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] blends a little into the E of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
