I love these names for boys. They are so jaunty.
And yet I’ve never met one. [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Clancy[/name_u] is beloved by many readers, many men included.
What do you think of these? I’m not naming a person, just thinking.

[name_u]Clancy[/name_u] is certainly my personal fave of the two! Jaunty is absolutely the e perfect adjective for these. I love it!! [name_u]Clancy[/name_u] has such spunk and joy. I’m totally a fan. Seems like the kind of boy to have brothers called [name_u]Nat[/name_u], [name_m]Geordie[/name_m], or [name_m]Fitz[/name_m]. Very [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] Alcott-ian.
When I was in fourth grade eons ago, I reread Clancy’s Glorious Fourth a dozen times. It was about a little boy in the old days who saved money with his friends to start a town band. Go figure why I was obsessed (I do like men with many hobbies!). Loved the name since then.
That sounds like such a sweet story! Oh, how absolutely lovely x
I definitely agree with what you said for Clancy!!Very jaunty name, indeed
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Clancy[/name_u]! Would love to meet one in real life
I love [name_u]Clancy[/name_u] such a cool sounding name
I’ve met both an older male [name_u]Clancy[/name_u], and a younger female [name_u]Clancy[/name_u], and it worked well for both of them. I tend to think also of [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] Paterson’s poem ‘Clancy of the Overflow’, but that would definitely be an Australian thing. It does have an upbeat, bright vibe, and I think it would be a great name to revive.
