Ok so I’m torn between two baby girl names- [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. Both are very important family names to me and I really wanted to incorporate them into my daughter’s name. I was thinking maybe I could name her [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] but call her [name_f]Clara[/name_f] since the names are so similar. Is that too much of a stretch?
I could see that probably works, but personally I prefer not to do that, because I like both names on their own and to me, they’re simply two different names.
I’d pick one as a first name and use another as a middle. Maybe adding another first/second middle too to help the flow, e.g., [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], etc.
I think it could work
I hate to say it, but I do feel like this is a bit of a stretch. You could incorporate the meaning of one of the names into the combo and save the name itself for a future combo. For example, [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] means “free man,” so you could do [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Liberty[/name_f], etc.
I guess it could work, but I do think it is a stretch. Maybe [name_f]Clara[/name_f] with the middle name [name_u]Lyn[/name_u]?
Thanks for the advice!! I love, love the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. I think that’s a winner, it’s perfect!
I’m so pleased you found something that works for you!
