I don’t have a strong preference between [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_u]Clare[/name_u]. I would probably choose [name_f]Claire[/name_f] as it is more widely used.
I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] better then [name_u]Clare[/name_u].
My name is [name_u]Clare[/name_u] and people always misspell it as [name_f]Claire[/name_f] even if it’s written right in front of them. I’ve even been asked if i’ve made a typo when entering my name 
. Based on my experience I’d say [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is the most people are likely to spell it and the one you’d have least trouble with.
