[name_m]Clarence[/name_m] was most popular more than 120 years ago, but it was still in top 100, 70 years ago. In the last 100 years, it less and less popular. I kinda like it. WDYT? Does it fit with my list (right now, you can see my full list in my signature)?
I really like [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], although it does seem a bit wet. I’m not sure what nicknames you could get out of it either.
I love [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. I think it has a lot of character, and it would certainly fit your style (which I love, by the by). If you wanted nicknames (don’t know whether or not you do), I like [name_f]Clarry[/name_f] and [name_u]Ren[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband actually came up with this name for our son. I was pleasantly surprised considering most of the names he likes are 80’s/90’s names. I like [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], but it clashes with our last name. I really love the nickname [name_u]Clancy[/name_u]! [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] would go nicely with the names on your list.
I think its ok, it has that nerdy-chic thing going on like [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].
I love the name [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. A stretch, but you could nn him [name_m]Renzo[/name_m].
I like it I say go for it, [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is a great name.
Well, I liked this name until you, berries, pointed all the possible nicknames I don’t like. I like full form, but I believe this name will need nickname. Any other nickname suggestion?
I think it definitely fits in with the whole nerdy-chic trend. I like a lot of the nerdy-chic names that have more modern sounding nicknames but I can’t find any awesome nicknames for [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] so I’m going to give this one a no, even though I do like it in theory since it was a great-uncle’s name.
He could maybe go by [name_u]Ren[/name_u] or [name_m]Lars[/name_m]?
I like [name_m]Lance[/name_m] as a nn for [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. But [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_m]Renzo[/name_m] could work as less obvious nn’s as well. (I mean Cents would work too but well unless your 50 Cents - and even then I don’t see the appeal…lol).
PS: I like the nerdy chic but [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] doesn’t do it for me. It still works as a classic though.
