Looking for some feedback on this name. My husband found this name while we choosing for our son two years ago. We took it off our list for awhile, but I am not sure about it. What do you think? Our son’s name is [name]Evan[/name].
Seems very Puritanical to me, but there’s nothing wrong with virtue names. Especially when the short form, [name]Claire[/name], is so accessible.
I think [name]Clarity[/name] would make a nice virtue name. Like teacherma pointed out, the nickname [name]Clare[/name] makes it accessible.
I like it - it’s a bit unfamiliar, but not too out there or inaccessible. People will likely already be familiar with [name]Charity[/name], [name]Chastity[/name], [name]Claire[/name], and [name]Clarissa[/name], but probably not [name]Clarity[/name]. I think that the meaning is quite nice as well.
Fantastico! Puritans were a little cuckoo oh but I love their name style!
Faves are [name]Amity[/name] and [name]Verity[/name] but I was thinking about…
[name]Amity[/name]
[name]Charity[/name]
[name]Chastity[/name]
[name]Trinity[/name]
[name]Verity[/name]
[name]Clarity[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Serenity[/name]
[name]Unity[/name]
Temerity
Levity
[name]Divinity[/name]
[name]Eternity[/name]
Alacrity
Felinity
Jollity
[name]Purity[/name]
Calamity (as in Calamity [name]Jane[/name], or only for a lady super villain)*
Solidarity
Cheers!
I love it, but your average citizen is probably going to do a double-take and wonder why you would pick [name]Clarity[/name] above all other virtue names. I would recommend having personal meaning attached if you are going to pick it.
