Clarke for a girl?

Looking for sibling names for our eldest [name_m]Hart[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]. Im struggling for girls names and although i can only see myself as a boy mum, id like to be a little prepared.

Could i use [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] for a girl?
I do like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but is it too common? Is it silly with [name_m]Hart[/name_m]?
I like [name_f]Honey[/name_f] but is it too sweet for when shes a kick-ass woman in her 30s?

Any suggestions would be welcome. X

[name_u]Ive[/name_u] heard of little girls being named [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] so it could work. However between [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] I might assume [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is the sister and [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] the brother. [name_m]Easy[/name_m] thing to fix but something to consider.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] would make a fine sibling pair.

[name_f]Honey[/name_f] would be too sweet for me however [name_u]Honor[/name_u] or [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] nn [name_f]Honey[/name_f] would be adorable.

Other suggestions…

[name_f]Roxy[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]

[name_u]Ivy[/name_u]

I like [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] for a girl. I prefer the e spelling for a girl and without an e for a boy. [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] are a little tongue twisty, but I really like them both as individual names.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] are a great pair. I haven’t met a woman named [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] before so I don’t think it’s too popular.

I like [name_f]Honey[/name_f] as a nickname. For me it is too sweet to use as a first name. Maybe a middle and then nickname [name_f]Honey[/name_f]?

I absolutely love [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] for a girl! There are a couple female Clarkes in pop culture now (most notably in The 100) which makes it definitely more usable if you’re nervous. This is one of my fav girl names ever, and I actually think [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is an amazing combo!

I love [name_u]Clarke[/name_u]. It was one of my great grandmother [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] sister’s name. There was also [name_f]Naomi[/name_f].

[name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] have a very similar sound, so as long as you wouldn’t mind constantly repeating yourself, or your spouse kids not hearing you right…

That being said, [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] are nice together (not too sappy, honestly) but [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] could be awesome.

[name_m]Hart[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_u]Clarke[/name_u]

I think [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] sound similar enough to be confusing, but I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], on its own and with [name_m]Hart[/name_m]! To me it’s a super versatile name. I can picture it on a quiet-natured poet as easily as on a kick-ass woman in her 30s.

Where I live [name_f]Honey[/name_f] would be tough to wear - it’s a diminutive and a lot of people even dislike being called [name_f]Honey[/name_f] or Hon in professional settings. I like it well enough as a nickname but wouldn’t want to saddle anyone with it as their legal name.

I think [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is more usable in the UK as it’s not so often used as a term of endearment here. Therefore it’s rarer as a patronising etc term too.

Is [name_u]Clarke[/name_u] usable? Definitely!

I do know a lot of little Ruby’s and I get your concern that [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] together are quite lovey-dovey! I would avoid [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] for this reason myself.

Some suggestions:
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f]
[name_u]Palmer[/name_u]
[name_u]Archer[/name_u]
[name_u]Marlow[/name_u]
[name_f]Marni[/name_f]
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]

Most of these sound great with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] of [name_f]Honey[/name_f] as a middle too!
