Classic boy name with ending is "ie/y" nickname

I am looking for a bit of help. I love the name [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], nickname; [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]! (I am tempted to just use [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]) However I am fearful that [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] may be too popular at the moment. Classic, strong names are important to my husband, and I love the way ending in “ie/y” names sound. If the baby is a girl we will use [name_f]Annie[/name_f].

My favorite is [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] “[name_u]Toby[/name_u]” I think!

I like [name_u]James[/name_u] nn [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] on a boy, but it’s as popular as [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] is very cute.

[name_u]Madison[/name_u] - maddie

Also jimmy is not a nickname for james, its just a different name option people use.

Uh no, [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] is a diminutive of [name_u]James[/name_u], same as [name_u]Ricky[/name_u] for [name_m]Richard[/name_m] or [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] for [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. Click on the name - it’ll tell you as much.

I understand where you’re coming from- I think [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] is adorable, but [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is too popular for my liking. A couple suggestions from my own favorites to get to a nickname ending in -lly or -llie:
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], nn [name_u]Sully[/name_u]
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m], nn [name_m]Solly[/name_m]

[name_m]Paul[/name_m], nn [name_m]Paulie[/name_m] is sweet too.
Also, how about [name_u]Rawley[/name_u]? Or Rawls, nn [name_u]Rawley[/name_u]?

[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] - [name_m]Monty[/name_m]

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] - [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] - [name_m]Harry[/name_m]
[name_u]Jameson[/name_u]/[name_u]James[/name_u] - [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]

It was a boy :blue_heart:
We named him [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]… [name_u]Sam[/name_u] & [name_u]Sammy[/name_u] for short.
Thanks for all the incredible ideas ”

[name_m]Archibald[/name_m] nn [name_m]Archie[/name_m]!
