I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], and I definitely think it’s more classic than “granny”. I prefer the [name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Anne[/name_f] pronunciation (it feels fresher to me). BUT [name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] doesn’t work 
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] is a bit better, but I think you could find a better option for a middle?
Classic. I think of [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Gish[/name_f]. The only one of those I dislike is [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f].

[name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] is a mush of two very trendy names ([name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] and [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]) and I find it doesn’t match at all. I also have the same issue with [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] that I had with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] - matching ending and beginning of MN (Aub-ree-[name_f]EL[/name_f] [name_f]EL[/name_f]-izabeth).

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband actually thought of [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f]…I fell in love with its uniqueness and beauty But I do tend to like more classic names . We are having a hard time compromising this time. Trying to find something as pretty and unique as [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] is tough…so im thinking pretty and classic and thought maybe [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] would honor my father who passed away last year. We thought maybe [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] as her first name…but im not 100%. I dont know if we’ll ever name this baby!!!

The OP herself was asking if a name was too old lady/granny, which is a negative association. That a word contains within it the name of a cheese is simply another negative association, which seems relevant as this was the topic of the thread.
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is very much a classic, feminine choice, and surprisingly, works well with [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] The middles need some tweaking though, as they all run into one another.

Questioning if a name sounds old-ladyish/granny is blatant ageism, but I see it time and again on this site. Nameberry obviously isn’t too concerned about the so-called rudeness of their content, look at their own descriptions of names. I have found people either love or hate the name [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f]. More love than hate for sure. But we love it…and it completely fits our beautiful and unique little girl Anyway…do you think pairing [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] with [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] would be a good choice. While I think [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] is beautiful it doesnt have the classic aspect that [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] has. [name_f]Aubrielle[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]…hmmm??? I think I like it!
