I’ve heard the suggestion of [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] for twin girls a lot & I really like it (they’re probably my two favorite names) but I can’t decide if it works. While both names date back centuries and are classy/unique, I feel like [name]Claudia[/name] is more exotic and sexy (is it weird to call a name sexy? haha hopefully you know what I mean) whereas [name]Felicity[/name] is more happy and bouncy. What do you think? [name]Do[/name] they go together well?
I think they work perfectly together. And names don’t need to ‘go’ together. If you have twin daughters they most likely will have two different personalities.
I don’t think they are too different for twins. Since twins are two different people having “their own” names makes them individuals. They aren’t too matchy and cute and they don’t “group” them together like most twin names. They are great sibset names which I think makes them perfect for twins.
I totally think a [name]Felicity[/name] could be sexy! Her personality will influence how people view her name, not the other way around.
Claudia is sexy and strong, Felicity light and bubbly.
Claudia and Felina
Claudia and Faustina
Claudette and Felicity
Claudette and Félicienne
Edit: Sorry didn’t read your whole post. Of course people can inhabit their names completely differently. No reason Felicity is doomed to a life of high ponytails and doo-wop. They could work as sisters. A surprising pairing for twins, but both good names.
I like them together.
I like them, but they have different personalities to me. I think [name]Claudia[/name] is sexy & [name]Felicity[/name] is stuffier. If you want them to really match up maybe [name]Claudia[/name] & [name]Felicia[/name] or [name]Claudine[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name]?
I think the pair [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] is perfect! It makes them individuals and is much better than calling them (for example) [name]Annie[/name] and [name]Anna[/name]. Plus, [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] are both really pretty names! [name]Both[/name] can be happy, bubbly, light, or sexy (yes, names can be sexy). Anyways, I love the names! Go for it!
I think they both have the same sort of style, so they would work just fine for twins. I’d hesitate using them, though, due to the meanings. [name]Claudia[/name] means “lame” and [name]Felicity[/name] means “happy”. If I was the twin named [name]Claudia[/name], I don’t think I would like that much if I found out. But if you really don’t care about the meanings (which I assume you don’t, since [name]Claudia[/name] seems to be your favorite anyway) and/or have a great story behind picking those names, then it’s fine. They’re both lovely names!
I agree. I suggest [name]Claudine[/name], or [name]Claudette[/name], because I like them more. But [name]Claudia[/name] is also nice name.
Taking a page out of Rowangreeneyes’ book:
[name]Felix[/name] and [name]Claude[/name] could make a very sassy pair of nicknames. Your ultra-feminine daughters would each have an artsy French old man name as an alternative.
They go nicely together! [name]Felicity[/name] is a favorite of mine too
Different is usually the goal when it comes to twin names, I think. [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] go together perfectly.
They sound off as a twinset or a sibset, in my opinion.
[name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Felicia[/name] would work.
[name]Felicity[/name] is softer, and bouncy, like you said. It would pair nicely with something like [name]Clara[/name], instead.
I think they work perfectly together.
I think they work fine together. [name]Felicity[/name] has a much nicer meaning though.
[name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] would be lovely as sisters. They complement each other well. The only issue I have is that [name]Claudia[/name] means “lame” and [name]Felicity[/name] means “happy.”
Thanks everyone! I’ve thought a lot about the meaning of [name]Claudia[/name] and if it should bother me but I think since most people don’t know meanings/the name has such a long and impressive history, it’s worth it.
