I love [name]Clement[/name]! The French pronunciation is prettier ([name]Clay[/name]-mont with a very soft ‘t’, essentially) but I like the English pronunciation too. I think of your combos, [name]Clement[/name] [name]Arlo[/name] and [name]Clement[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name] are my favorites.
I really like it. [name]Clement[/name] isn’t even on most people’s radars, which is a shame. I love the meaning, and I love the stately feel it has to it. [name]Clement[/name] would be a great choice.
I like [name]Clement[/name] [name]Avery[/name], [name]Clement[/name] [name]Julian[/name], and [name]Clement[/name] [name]Hugo[/name].
I love it, too. I wish I could use it, personally. It’s such a dignified and peaceful name, with a wonderful meaning. The world doesn’t have enough mercy.
Interesting name, I just repeated it a few times out loud and it rapidly takes a hold. The meaning is amazing. I like it with a vowel starting middle, [name]Arlo[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] sound great with it.
If I lived in a French speaking region I’d have absolutely no qualms about naming a son Clément-[name]Louis[/name], I adore the name. My dream French sibset is [name]Eulalie[/name], Béatrice et Clément-[name]Louis[/name]. It’s just not the same in English…
I’m interested to know if you would use the French or English pronunciation of [name]Clement[/name]… something I’m still undecided on as we live outside of [name]France[/name].
I tend to agree. I think we would choose the English pronunciation… especially because we went the same way with our daughters name. Then I guess when in [name]France[/name]… make the switch!
