I think that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] can still fit, it has a vintage quality which I get from all of your daughter’s names.

That being said, I really love the appeal of [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and using the middle as her nn. (That’s what got my vote.)

Thought: would [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] be a reasonable alternative to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] for you? The variant still has a sweet quality but might be different enough to set her apart from all the [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]'s where tou live?

We have talked about [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], but I think that it would just add extra confusion alongside the [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]'s. Plus, the combo of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Maude[/name_f] is an honor name so I would not likely choose [name_f]Amelie[/name_f].

Thank you for your reply; I found myself excited you voted for [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]!

This is insanely hard. I truly love all three options. One of my biggest pet peeves is having a child go by the middle name. It is such a pain in real life. Sadly, that puts [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] out. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] nn [name_u]Gussie[/name_u]? I love [name_f]Augusta[/name_f].

That leaves [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is one of my favorites. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Maude[/name_f] is stellar. Then you have [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. It is one of the prettiest combos I’ve ever heard. After talking to myself ” I think I’m voting [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f].

I also love [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], but if you’re not going to call her by her first name, I will choose [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. I think that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] works beautifully with your other girl names, especially their nicknames.

I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and there are a lot where I live, too. I like [name_f]Maud[/name_f] and would prefer the full name of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] (so lovely) instead of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]…mainly because all I’m seeing is red with those two R names. LoL But definitely [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] if you’re going to call her [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. I don’t really see how the sibset doesn’t go together. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] sound delightful to me. So does [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. If anything, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is the name that wouldn’t fit as well… she doesn’t seem to be your style at all. However, of you truly want to keep the vowel first names then [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] would seem to be your only choice.

Thanks for the feedback! Why am I so nervous to name her [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]?!

I actually think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] goes well w/your other girls’ names, especially [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], probably because my daughter has a friend named [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] whose sister is [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Maude[/name_f] is very pretty…maybe w/a nickname of [name_f]Ammie[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Lia[/name_f]? [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] was my paternal grandmother’s middle name (after her paternal grandmother), so there’s family sentiment there for me (although Grandma disliked it intensely as it was a fusty name when she was young, not coming back into style like it is now). I’m not really into [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] as it’s NMS…probably because I hear the old [name_m]Kenny[/name_m] [name_m]Rogers[/name_m] song in my head whenever I hear the name.

If [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] was on your list, it would definitely be my number #1!

I like your pattern of vowel names. [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is adorable!

I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] is a strong name that has the same ‘g’ sound as [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] so I feel like it would be overpowering.

[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] got my vote for a couple reasons. First it seems important to you that her name fits well with everyone else’s in your family and I feel the name [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] fits nicely with her sisters names. Second I say having her go by her middle name is no big deal. I know plenty of people who go by middle names for various reasons. As someone who works with kids I can tell you having a kid go by their middle name is really no different than having a kid go by a nickname. If [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] or the name [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] make you feel uneasy go with [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], I think it is a beautiful name!

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] as a first name.

Have you considered similar names to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]? For example, [name_f]Camelia[/name_f]?

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Rubina[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]?

I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] goes beautifully with the sisters’ names and is my easy favourite out of those! I love how [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] all end differently, which in my mind, makes them fit well together.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Maude[/name_f] are both beautiful. I think that [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] as siblings would be very overpowering. Have you considered [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]? I know you said you wanted to use [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] as a middle name, but I think those two combos are gorgeous.

I really like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Maude[/name_f] for you, especially with your other children’s names. Maybe her nn can be [name_f]Mila[/name_f]?

I like a PP suggestion of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].

With that combo, you have the best of both worlds… a vowel name on the stocking (plus you can call her [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Mia[/name_f]) AND the option to use mn [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] if that suits her better.

Good luck!
