Is this a hard no? [name_u]Or[/name_u] would you consider this name unisex?
I’m afraid I just associate it with Mr. [name_u]Collins[/name_u] But if I didn’t, then it actually sounds very cool. Definitely more more masculine that feminine sounding name.
I would assume someone named [name_u]Collins[/name_u] was a boy, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it was a girl. Idk if that answers your question?
It’s like a 90% female name in the statistics, I know it’s a surname so can be either gender but didn’t know if it was just one of those names that would always lean girl.
I would’ve thought masc too…also the Pride & Prejudice association, though, regardless of gender…
I’d consider it unisex [name_m]Collin[/name_m] is still an established boys name and [name_u]Collins[/name_u] fits the surname-y names for boys trend, so I think it works.
It reminds me of the author [name_u]Wilkie[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u]
It reminds me of [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u]. I would assume someone with the name was a boy.
[name_u]Collins[/name_u] strikes me as more masculine actually, it reminds me of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Collins[/name_u] the drink
i think of it as unisex, prefer it for a boy actually!
The only [name_u]Collins[/name_u] I’ve known on real life was a boy in my class in middle/high school. I definitely think of it as masculine, partially because of that kid but also because [name_m]Colin[/name_m] is typically a boy’s name and they’re nearly the same.
I like it for a trendy girl name but for a boy I would definitely think its a family name. Maybe its just because [name_u]Collins[/name_u] is so similar in structure to my own surname.
I’v never met anyone named [name_u]Collins[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] only association with it as a first name is the girl from The Blind Side, so on paper I’d guess girl. But I would be pleasantly surprised to see it on a boy.
It looks and feels very masculine to me, so on a boy it’s great! Not so much a fan of it on a girl.
I also have to agree I think of Mr. [name_u]Collins[/name_u] from P&P
