Colour-coded names

I feel like someone has explained this to me before…But how do you remove the blue or pink colour on names in a post? Sometimes when I edit a post and re-post it goes away, and sometimes it doesn’t, so is there a concrete way to do this?
Thanks!

I think it has to do with how quickly you edit a post? If you edit a post quickly, the name colours are usually saved. If you edit it after 5 minutes or so, the colours go away (and you can make them return manually by typing [name_f] insert whatever name you want [/n@me_f] (with “name” spelt correctly in the second instance, I misspelt it so you could see the command!)

I believe if you do [name_] name [/n@me_] without doing the “f” or “m” after the underscore, the name will show up as dark blue instead of the gendered colours? But the link won’t work and it won’t direct you to the database entry.
E.g. [name_] Alice[/name]
or [name_u] Alice [/name_u] (green) if you type “u” after the _

There could be more to it but that’s what I know!
