I finally got some creativity in me for combos (rare occurence)!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I’m in love with them, BUT [name_f][/name_f]- I worry [name_f]Laine[/name_f] is seen as too Kree8ive trendy but I view it as timeless and classic. I know some people will argue [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] is dated but I think she sounds fresh with [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. I’d love to hear your thoughts and criticisms though <3
[name_f][/name_f]
Lastly, my lovely [name_f]Maura[/name_f]. I have [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] (Jillian has personal significance and I feel is pretty cute!) but I’d love to hear your thoughts/other ideas.
I really like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] & [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] Ardith!!
[name_f][/name_f]
I think [name_f]Laine[/name_f] is neither creative/trendy nor timeless/classic. Maybe a modern classic/modern familiar name like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], etc. That said, I don’t like it as a middle for [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] because I think there are a few too many L sounds!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is fine – there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just don’t think it has the same sparkle and charm as [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] or [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] is not my favourite. I like [name_f]Maura[/name_f] but together the names feel a bit stuffy and like a “mum name” to me, which is fine if that’s your style, but the other combos feel fresher to me! For a classic/timeless name that makes [name_f]Maura[/name_f] feel fresh, maybe [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Violetta[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], etc.
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] this was very helpful, thank you!
[name_f][/name_f]
I totally see what you mean about [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]- I love the names separately but perhaps together they become duller instead of brighter. [name_m]Loving[/name_m] your suggestion of [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]! [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is a longtime favorite of mine but I’ve never figured out how to use her. Would [name_f]Mara[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] be even nicer?
[name_f][/name_f]
I’m glad you like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f]! They feel like they have solid character to me! And I’ve been searching for a nice middle for [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] for forever.
[name_f][/name_f]
I appreciate your opinions! I really struggle with making combos that fit just right <3
These combos are so pretty! I’m especially loving [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] & [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
I would say [name_f]Laine[/name_f] is modern, but not trendy / creative – the spelling is reminiscent of the lovely & classic [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], which brings in more of a vintage vibe that I love, but the sound incorporates that more modern feel with the popularity of word names. However, I agree with saying that [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] sounds a little too sing-songy with all the L’s! [name_f][/name_f]Looking back at some of your previous posts, a few other [name_f]Laine[/name_f] combos could be [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f], [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] (off-topic but [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] would be stunning!), [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f], or [name_f]Darby[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Loving[/name_m] the suggested idea of using [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (Mara [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is beautiful as well!).
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Jillian[/name_f] has always been a love of mine! A few combos to make her feel a little brighter – bringing in a nature component or something relevant but timeless: [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_m]Adair[/name_m], [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Sage[/name_f], [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], or [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
[name_f]Talitha[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] is so nice!! I forgot about my love for [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_m]Adair[/name_m][name_f][/name_f] is honestly a perfect refreshing combo and I’m so happy to meet another [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] lover <3 I’m really glad you like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f], I’m getting attached.
[name_f][/name_f]
(P.S. [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is beautiful!) I’m not very attached to Bronwyn–It’s one of those names I adore from afar, yknow? One of the names I WANT to love but don’t. But this combo has such an elegant rhythm.
I love the simple but unexpected sweetness of your combos!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] is one I want to like, but struggle to get into… definitely interesting with [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] though! [name_f][/name_f] I prefer [name_f]Arden[/name_f] myself, but [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] is a sweet and feminine combo. [name_f][/name_f] I like it a lot.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- this one sounds lilting and soft, maybe also because it shares a lot of similar sounds with all the vowels and L’s? [name_f][/name_f] I do prefer [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] to just [name_f]Celia[/name_f], but it is a lovely name, and I agree that [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] just works with her!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- not the hugest fan of [name_f]Elle[/name_f] personally; I like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] etc more. [name_f][/name_f] I think she works well with your other combos though and love the balance of [name_f]Elle[/name_f] (which feels both sweet and modern) and [name_f]Diana[/name_f] (which feels strong and vintage).
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- love this visually and I’m a sucker for a good [name_m]Tally[/name_m] name. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]My[/name_f] only hesitation is all the L sounds. [name_f][/name_f] For that reason I’d be tempted to switch [name_f]Laine[/name_f] out for something like [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Raine[/name_f], Kit/Kate, [name_f]Wren[/name_f], [name_m]Auden[/name_m], something like that?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- love the pairing of these two!
[name_f][/name_f]
Really like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f], and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] together, and these combos are unexpected and memorable. [name_f][/name_f] Especially liking [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] for you! [name_f][/name_f] Good luck!
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] → unexpected and strong [name_f][/name_f]- there’s something appealing and balanced about how this looks
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] → very musical in feel!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] → I like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] but find [name_f]Diana[/name_f] a little harsh with it and I’m not 100% they make each other shine? It’s not a bad name by any means and I can see it has style, but just not sure they are right together
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] → [name_f]Laine[/name_f] is sweet and fresh, but grounded thanks to its tie to [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] is lively and gorgeous. [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] is fun and bright, but I do find myself tripping over the L’s just slightly [name_f][/name_f]- I think I could get over that though [name_f][/name_f]- it’s so full of life!
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] → this has cute retro vibes [name_f][/name_f]- tough and unexpected at the same time!
I do really like [name_f]Laine[/name_f] on your list though [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f][/name_f] I’m thinking something like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] Laine… might give you a similar feel
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] ~ I love [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] she’s such a wholesome classic that feels timeless and is rich in biblical history. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] is such a sweet friendly classic and I think paired with [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] she feels sweet full of springtime energy.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] ~ I think [name_f]Celia[/name_f] is a pretty delicate name with pastel pink imagery attached. I also love the meaning of [name_f]Celia[/name_f] heavenly is so lovely. I think [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] feels a little clunky I prefer [name_f]Irene[/name_f] which has a similar sound but has the pretty meaning peace which is gorgeous especially paired with [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. I think heavenly peace is such a lovely meaning. Still [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] is just fine paired with [name_f]Celia[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is such a pretty dainty name with a pan European flair that feels so romantic especially paired with [name_f]Diana[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] has a pretty classic sound very sweet.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] ~ I love [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] she’s fun, spunky with a bohemian flair. I think [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous so full of flair and fabulousness. I think [name_f]Laine[/name_f] makes a fun middle name and maybe feels a bit more stylish/modern than your other middle names but she doesn’t feel trendy. However I do prefer [name_m]Lane[/name_m] spelling wise I just like the straightforwardness feel of [name_m]Lane[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] ~ personally [name_f]Maura[/name_f] isn’t my favourite name however I appreciate the wind swept rural grey sky pebbled beach cosy jumper energy of this name. I think [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] sounds sweet paired with [name_f]Maura[/name_f] however I prefer [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Maura[/name_f].
@Greyblue[name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like [name_f]Maura[/name_f] Jillian!! I quite enjoy [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Viviana[/name_f], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Maren[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f]! I’ll do some thinking. I’ve also been enjoying [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] Reese🤔 [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_m]Lane[/name_m] is so cute! (I can’t decide which spelling I like) but the vibes match super well. TY!
[name_f][/name_f]
@tori101[name_f][/name_f] I think I agree with you on the [name_m]Lane[/name_m] spelling. I keep going back and forth, but I enjoy simplicity. And [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f]Maura[/name_f] is super cute! I just really want [name_f]Maura[/name_f] in the fn spot :)
[name_f][/name_f]
@ashthedreamer[name_f][/name_f] hi!! I totally get that about [name_f]Ardith[/name_f], that’s me with LOTS of names (Winifred, [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f], etc). I’m not a fan of cecelia but I’m glad you like the combo!!! I’m very glad you think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] works well with my other names! I personally just prefer [name_f]Elle[/name_f] over other [name_f]El[/name_f]- names. [name_f][/name_f]Yay another [name_m]Tally[/name_m] fan!! but yeah I’m totally getting that with all the L’s when I say it out loud. Thank you sooo much! I’m glad you find them memorable. That’s my biggest problem with combos—if they don’t have a memorable kick, I don’t keep them.
I was at work when I responded, so iI forgot to say that “wind swept rural grey sky pebbled beach cosy jumper energy” is literally everything[name_f][/name_f] to me. my favorite vibe in names, movies, tv shows, books, etc. and you have achieved putting it into words <3
Update for anyone: [name_f][/name_f]I’ve decided the ones I’m keeping without[name_f][/name_f] edits are [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]thanks sm for your input all of you!
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] is such an unexpected and absolutely perfect combo! Sweet, strong, classic, inventive— love it! [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] is my next favorite! Each name alone feels a little older and comfortable, but this combo is light, classy, and fun! [name_f][/name_f]I loved to see in your update that both combos are staying!
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- Well balanced and intriguing. It feels warm and cosy, but maybe a little mystical/different as well (thanks to Ardith).
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Celia[/name_f] isn’t quite to my taste as a first name, but this combo is energetic, pretty and flows quite well. I like the vintage vibes of [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] and I think it definitely adds something to the combo as a whole. [name_f][/name_f](I know you said you’re keeping [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] on your list as it is, and that’s fine. So only out of curiosity [name_f][/name_f]- what do you think of [name_f]Celia[/name_f] Kathleen?)
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I understand that this combo was meant to be balanced, but [name_f]Elle[/name_f] still feels too short, and [name_f]Diana[/name_f] still feels a little too sharp. What about [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] or even [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]Laine[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- Neither [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] or [name_f]Laine[/name_f] do anything for me, individually or together. I will say that I don’t think [name_f]Laine[/name_f] is classic, nor is it that trendy; without looking up its actual history, it gives me the impression of being either an invented unisex(-ish) word name (re-spelling of [name_m]Lane[/name_m], maybe) or nickname name which only started being widely used sometime after 1950. That’s just my first thought, could be totally off-base for all I know.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I love this! It feels spunky, vintage, sweet and strong. It has so much life to it and a bright, happy sound. Definitely has a rugged, down-to-earth feel.
