Either [name_u]Clare[/name_u] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is fine I just didn’t want to put [name_u]Clare[/name_u]/[name_f]Claire[/name_f] each time. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is the more popular/well-known spelling, [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is relevant to husband’s heritage and not exactly impossible itself, so I can never decide.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f]'s not on the table; [name_f]Claire[/name_f]/[name_u]Clare[/name_u] ties to both sides of the family. And [name_f]Clara[/name_f] has a very different feel to me than the one-syllable versions, somehow? I know it’s beloved on Nameberry but I just can’t warm to it.
