I’ve just come across the names [name_u]Comet[/name_u] and [name_m]Cosmic[/name_m], I know both are quiet out there but I like the familiar sound they have. I’ve been looking for a honour name for [name_m]Micheal[/name_m] “Mick” and I feel like [name_m]Cosmic[/name_m] does that.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think cosmic is usable and do you think the nicknames [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] and Mic/micky work?
And what nicknames could be used for [name_u]Comet[/name_u]?
I think [name_m]Cosmic[/name_m] is usable, I’ve met people with equally “out-there” word names in real life, who wore them just fine! For some reason, my biggest hangup I have with it is that it sounds a little medical to me, maybe because words ending in -smic often are of that nature? But I’m sure most people will just think of space! [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] and [name_u]Micky[/name_u] definitely work as nicknames, they’re super cute! I also love just [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], as well as [name_m]Cosmas[/name_m] & [name_m]Cosmin[/name_m]!
[name_u]Comet[/name_u] is a bit less usable to me, it just feels a bit like a “dog name” - but I could get used to it! [name_u]Coco[/name_u] comes to mind as a nickname, or just C.
[name_m]Cosmic[/name_m] works best for me - usable/grounded nn of Mick/Micky, the similarity to [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] and [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] - it feels more name-y, less reindeer?
[name_u]Comet[/name_u] is still intriguing though - I don’t hate it. [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_u]Coco[/name_u], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_f]Etty[/name_f], [name_f]Etter[/name_f] as nicknames?
