[name]Konrad[/name] (with a k) is my husbands all time hands down favorite name. He doesn’t often get enthusiastic over names but [name]Konrad[/name] is a different story. He is absolutely in love with it. I used to love it when I was a kid. I thought it was the coolest name in the world. I hadn’t really thought about it lately until maybe 6 or 7 months ago, I stumbled upon it again and passively suggested it to my husband. He has been all about it ever since. It has been off and on our list, mostly because I can’t decide if I like it anymore. I could probably get him to agree to spell in With a c if we do use it.
So- what do you think of [name]Conrad[/name]? What image does it bring to mind? Should I put it on the list again?? Our other names-
[name]Merrick[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Liam[/name] [name]Parker[/name]
[name]Rhett[/name] maverick
[name]Maverick[/name]
[name]Callen[/name]
I think you should go with [name]Conrad[/name] with a C.
I knew a sport sailor named [name]Conrad[/name], it makes me think of strong, sporty, fun, ocean guy. I like it.
I think a C allows the name to “grow up” better.
[name]Conrad[/name] makes me think of this book I loved as a child - The Factory-Made Boy. Thumbs up from me
Thanks for the input so far! The fact that it reminds one of you of the ocean is a total selling point for me, as I love layed back beachy names! What other images does it give you?
I prefer it with a C. It’s a nice name, though intensely masculine. Makes me think of [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Conrad[/name] (Heart of Darkness, [name]Lord[/name] [name]Jim[/name], etc)
I know one. He actually has a [name]Boston[/name] accent, so it sounds like “Cawnraad.” His kids call him “Cawny.” Kind of cute, but… particular.
Being “[name]Boston[/name]-savvy” - does that mean you have a [name]Boston[/name] accent?
Haha nope no accent here, and my family doesn’t have one either. Although its funny because I could perfectly hear in my head the name [name]Conrad[/name] said with a heavy accent.
I like [name]Conrad[/name], although it makes me start singing the song from “Bye Bye [name]Birdie[/name].” Musical theatre nerd, right here! If you use it, PLEASE spell it with a C. [name]Konrad[/name] is a little too Kardashian for my taste. I think it’s worth putting back on your list, though. It’s unique and unconventional, but no so much so that people will wonder what on earth you were thinking.
I really like your other names too, particularly [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Callen[/name].
This. Otherwise, he’ll be correcting people his entire life.
I really like [name]Conrad[/name], and also would spell it with a C rather than a K for all the reasons everyone else said.
I love [name]Conrad[/name]. It makes me smile with nostalgia thinking about the detective from Matlock. Miss that show…
