Conrad?

So the name “[name]Conrad[/name]” has really been growing on me. Is it too similar to [name]Connor[/name]? Because I know a [name]Connor[/name] who I am most definitely not looking to honor lol.

I’d like to hear your thoughts on [name]Conrad[/name], and if you guys have any suggestions on some similar names, that would be great

thanks for your help

I love [name]Conrad[/name] but then again I have son named this. I get compliments on his name often and we like that he’s the only one in school with his name. He’s a smart handsome fellow

I never really likes [name]Conrad[/name] due to a bad name association BUt it has been growing on me lately… I dont think it will ever be on my top 10… but the NN. [name]RAD[/name] is pretty… well… rad!

I dont think it is too close to [name]Connor[/name]… it is a name all on its own!

I like it! It is simliar to [name]Conner[/name], but just because you choose [name]Conrad[/name] doesn’t mean you’re automatically honoring someone you know with a similar name- obviously it is a conscious choice to say “I’m naming [name]Conrad[/name] after [name]Connor[/name].”

I picture a semi-preppy/intellectual little guy

I really love this name, except I struggle to think of an appropriate nickname, other than the unflattering “[name]Connie[/name]” - Not ideal for a little boy! But as a full name [name]Conrad[/name] is great!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Conrad[/name]! [name]Conner[/name] has a very 90s vibe for me. [name]Conrad[/name] is so strong & super well, rad!

I love [name]Conrad[/name] so much! I don’t really love it as a FN, but I adore it as a MN. I grew up on a street called [name]Conrad[/name], so it has a lot of meaning to me, personally. I can understand that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, though–I really love Copeland as a more modern alternative, although I think [name]Conrad[/name] has more of a mass appeal than Copeland does, haha.

[name]Conrad[/name] is among my favorite boy names. I especially like it because of the Bye Bye [name]Birdie[/name] association. (one of my favorite musicals)

It’s really not similar to [name]Connor[/name], at least not to where people will think you’re honoring a [name]Connor[/name].

Not a fan, it’s hard sounding and when I hear it I just think of [name]Conrad[/name] [name]Murray[/name] the [name]Doctor[/name] charged with [name]Michael[/name] [name]Jackson[/name]'s murder, and [name]Conrad[/name] [name]Black[/name].

My son is named [name]Conrad[/name] and I’m really happy with my choice! It is strong and distinctive and it suits him perfectly. We get lots of compliments. A number of people have said “[name]How[/name]'s [name]Connor[/name]?”, so I suppose it is somewhat similar. We call him [name]Con[/name] as a nickname. The [name]Conrad[/name] [name]Murray[/name] association bothered me at the time of the trial, but I’ve all but forgotten about that. Coincidentally, his best friend is a little girl named [name]Birdie[/name]! So, like Valkyrie, I associate it with “Bye, Bye [name]Birdie[/name]”.

Yep, when I hear it I want to start singing Bye-Bye-[name]Birdie[/name] (that’s a good thing!). It sounds very masculine to me and would wear well.

[name]Conrad[/name] is one of my favorite boys names! It’s nice to see someone else mention it on here. I think [name]Conrad[/name] has character, strength and honor. I really hope you go with [name]Conrad[/name]! Good [name]Luck[/name] to you!

[name]Conrad[/name] has been growing on me, as well. I actually like the nn of [name]Connie[/name]–it really isn’t being used much for girls at this point in time. [name]Con[/name] is good, too, and I also like the possibility of the nn of [name]Rad[/name].

I like [name]Conrad[/name] (even if it is the name of a bad guy on Revenge). I think it’s a good alternative to the popular [name]Connor[/name]. Another similar sounding name is [name]Conlan[/name], which means “hero”.

I’m partial… It’s my DH’s name. It’s an anglicized version of a family name, and his dad calls him [name]Connie[/name]. He’s a talk, dark & handsome cowboy type, so he makes [name]Connie[/name] very, very masculine.
