Hello. Need all advice here as I am 3 weeks away from welcoming my 3rd child and I cannot commit to a name. I already have a boy and girl who both have names starting with “H”. This was completely coincidental and not planned at all (never thought we’d go for #3 anyway!).
Now that we are expecting another daughter, I am torn between sticking with “H” names or not. Someone once said, 2 can be an accident but 3 is creating a trend.
My two kids’ names are [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]- both names I adore! The options for baby #3 are the following but I am open to ALL suggestions…
With [name_u]James[/name_u] as a middle name, I think I you need a more feminine first name than [name_m]Palmer[/name_m]. [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] or [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] work very well. And I agree, you can either move on or make it a trend.
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Malia[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Mckinley[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Aubree[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Locklyn[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Lainey[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Landry[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Skylar[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
Maebry [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u]/[name_u]Baylee[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Blakely[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
The other option you might like for a middle name is [name_f]Jade[/name_f]. I think a lot of my suggestion work for it especially [name_u]Landry[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , [name_f]Lainey[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , Maebry [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , [name_f]Malia[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , [name_u]Marley[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f]/[name_u]Mckinley[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] , [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] and [name_u]Blakely[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f]
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] is a great option if you want to stick with the H theme! I definitely don’t think you have to but a couple other ideas could be [name_u]Haven[/name_u], [name_u]Harley[/name_u], [name_u]Henley[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], or [name_u]Hartley[/name_u].
I definitely agree with the first poster about [name_m]Palmer[/name_m]. [name_u]James[/name_u] is a masculine name, regardless of the new trend of using it for girls, and [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] is also very masculine. If you want to use [name_u]James[/name_u], use the first two ideas since those are obviously girl names. [name_m]Palmer[/name_m] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be cute.
I also like [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] best for you because it adds femininity to the more masculine [name_u]James[/name_u]. If you decide you want to break the “H” trend, you might also like [name_u]Marlow[/name_u]/e. A few other ideas that work with the sibset (please consider repeats seconded):
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_u]Devon[/name_u]
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m] (not sure about this with [name_u]James[/name_u])
[name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
[name_u]Riley[/name_u]
[name_u]Quincy[/name_u]
[name_m]Crosby[/name_m]
[name_u]Kirby[/name_u]
[name_u]Larkin[/name_u]
[name_u]Whitney[/name_u]
[name_m]Lochlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u]
[name_u]Winslow[/name_u]
[name_m]Quinlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Tierney[/name_u]
I say drop the trend. I was going to say that I feel like [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] would be perfect for you, but I see it’s already been suggested. No names go add, I afraid. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you find the right one soon!
I really like [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] - or even a girlier middle name (the feminist in me resists boy names until parents happy to call their sons [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]!).
I think you can more easily break away and use a different starting letter when you have a girl on the way. Already lots of good options, including the very pretty [name_f]Waverley[/name_f]!
With [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], you could also use a slightly more classic name. Still fresh but not quite as hip as [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]. That would tie them all together!
Other names NOT starting with “H”:
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]
From your list I think [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] and [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] are lovely. Both fit well with your other kids names!
I kind of like an “H” sibling set; it’s a kind of unexpected letter. I like [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] with her brothers. My only other suggestion is [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f].
