Hello all! I am curious if any of you have any last names that you love? [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] if you could choose a new last name for yourself and your partner and children
I adore the last name [name_f]Summer[/name_f].
I actually have my own private list of last names as I plan on changing my name whenever I find my perfect first name.

I would probably pick [name_u]Adair[/name_u] since Iāve always liked the sound of it. But the surnames I find most intriguing are those that have interesting or fun meanings, like Katzenberg ([name_m]German[/name_m] for ācat mountainā).
@chopette agree 100% on [name_u]Adair[/name_u], itās my favorite too. Some others:
[name_u]Alwin[/name_u]
Armitage
[name_m]Eames[/name_m]
[name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]
[name_m]Latham[/name_m]
St. [name_u]James[/name_u] (St. anything really, Iām not religious but Iām a big sucker for āSt.ā last names)
I have a surname thatās an old fashioned unisex word name, and itās pretty trendy on Nameberry haha. So I really love it tbh and will pretty certainly keep it when I get married. I donāt think Iād be very willing to change my surname even if I hated it though.
Some of my favourite surnames are Dearden and Churchyard. I just think theyāre really cool and good examples of my favourite categories: old fashioned religious or animal related words, and conjunctions words. Also love Friar, [name_m]Baird[/name_m], [name_u]Abbott[/name_u], Swallow, [name_m]Stirling[/name_m], Foxden, [name_m]Falconer[/name_m] (or the etymologically related [name_m]Faulkner[/name_m], for [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Faulkner[/name_m], coincidentally).
I really like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_m]Gallagher[/name_m]. They both are pretty normal tbh
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] and Wildeāused them for an RJ character and a [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] character respectively. Wonāt use them, though, even if I could.
I really like [name_u]Walker[/name_u], Johansson, and [name_m]French[/name_m]! I just think they sound pretty cool.
I especially love [name_m]French[/name_m] surnames!

I think Zajac is a cool Surname. I found it from the [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] Devils player [name_m]Travis[/name_m] Zajac
Katzenberg, meaning cat mountain is quite cool and appealing!
I also thought the conjunction ones Churchyard and Foxden are quite neat
I have a wonderful friend whose last name is Smiley Iāll always feel a bit sad we only feel platonically about each other because I would have been quite eager to take that last name!
