I am in search of a cool/fresh thought-provoking water name. Names of rivers and seas are out. Names of lakes, bays, beaches, islands, etc…are what I am looking for. Does anyone have a cool water name that is new and innovative? I do not like names I have heard on more than one person and names of any Hollywood babies/famous people are definitely out. For example, something like Zuma (which is out due to [name]Gwen[/name] [name]Stefani[/name]).
The most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen are in Tibet.
Yamdrok and Mapam. Mapam isn’t so useable as a name, but it’s near Mt Kailash, which I think would make a gorgeous name.
Osage is a fabulous idea. Makes me think of osage oranges, so green and fragrant.
I love the lake name idea! Iseo and Osage are my favorites from those already suggested. Otherwise, maybe [name]Tahoe[/name]? Or Huron? Not obscure lakes, but I haven’t heard them as names.
I like:
Mere- we have towns here in [name]Florida[/name] called Windermere and Fellsmere
Quays- pronounced “keyz”
Rivulet- it has a girlier sound than river
[name]Bayou[/name]
Check the water names around Alaska. There are lots of cool ones. List of rivers of Alaska - Wikipedia Those are just the rivers but there are lakes, and bays and seas… its endless.
