I love [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m]- dashing, gallant, a touch romantic, feels foreign and exotic in an exciting way but still familiar. I think I prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] though because [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] makes me think of the Medicis… interesting family, but not necessarily the best namesakes! Not sure how many people would know that though.
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] (short for cosmopolitan) is a type of cocktail here, so while I like the sound, I’m not sure it works for a name. This probably isn’t an issue in Greece though.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] over the masculine versions. [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] is too “new age” for me- not like [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], but even further away from what I picture a grounded person to be… This is totally because of Kramer on Seinfeld, and I can’t shake the association, sorry!
[name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] is a bit better, but I would personally go for [name_m]Caius[/name_m], Capsian, or [name_m]Corentin[/name_m] before I’d agree to [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m], I think.
Now, [name_f]Cosima[/name_f]- I would use that without hesitation
I love all of them - [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] and [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]. Problem is that my top girls combination is [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] which means that I can’t use either [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] or [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m].
I agree with @bonfireazalea, [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] is extremely dashing. A little more elegant than [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m], [name_m]Amaury[/name_m] [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m], [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] [name_m]Antony[/name_m], [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m], [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] [name_m]Inigo[/name_m], [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] and [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] are lovely. I have it on my combinations list as [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Antony[/name_m] [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m].
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] is such a posh name to me but I love it nevertheless. It would fit in nicely in a sibset with a name like [name_u]Rafe[/name_u]. I like [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] [name_m]Edouard[/name_m], [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]. I have it on my combinations list as [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] [name_m]Valdemar[/name_m].
I prefer [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] to [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m].
I prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], the feminine version, to either of the masculine ones, honestly. I’m more used to seeing [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], but I think I like [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] more (probably because I love [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] so much!). I thought I met a little boy named [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] earlier today (turns out his name was Rinher–to rhyme with “miner”–yeah, I don’t know how I mixed them up, either!), and I was about to be pretty excited, haha. [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] is pretty cool, and definitely my favorite of the two. I definitely still prefer [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] on a girl to [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] on a boy, though. There’s just something so lovely about it on a girl; I just don’t love the male alternatives as much.
@[name_f]Azalea[/name_f] : Thanks! [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] in Greece means the world & pronounced like Cosmos so I don’t think it’s the most usable name out there but I still like it. I love your description about [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] but but I don’t know the family you mention. @lucialucentum : Thanks! Maybe you are right about [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], I dont know. I like your suggestions of [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] & [name_m]Caius[/name_m] but I don’t know if I can see myself use them. @shvibziks : Thanks! I have to say that [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] is absolutely stunning! Great choice! [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] is my favorite of your combos. Usually I dont like [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] but I just adore it with [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m]. You are right. [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] feels a little posh but I like it. [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] & [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] [name_m]Edouard[/name_m] are so stunning! Especially the last one. Thanks for the suggestions! @ashthedreamer : Thanks! I dont know neither you you mix [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] with Rinher lol. It’s seems that all of you prefer [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] over [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]. I can definitely understand why but I still thinks that [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] feels cooler.
I like [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] but some people might remember Fairly Odd Parents on Nickelodeon and think you named you baby after the [name_f]Fairy[/name_f] however I’m not sure if it’s still running so it’s probably not a big deal. I personally wouldn’t use it as a first name as I don’t think it’s that usable now-a-days. I really like the combination of [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] and [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m].
@flowercait : thanks for replying! [name_f]My[/name_f] first association was also the fairly odd parents . I really hope it’s not a strong association! I love [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_m]Cosimo[/name_m] too! @catloverd : Thanks for replying! What’s it’s Seinfeld?
