could Meg be a nn for Margo?

Title says it all-my hubby loves [name]Meg[/name]…(I can’t have margaret-long story)…But quite like [name]Margo[/name] and and [name]Margot[/name]-can meg be its short form? Thanks!

Sure, why not? If [name]Meg[/name] can be a nn for [name]Margaret[/name], and [name]Margot[/name]'s a form of [name]Margaret[/name], I don’t see why [name]Margot[/name] nn [name]Meg[/name] couldn’t work.

Oh and I know I could have [name]Meg[/name] on its own! I just don’t want people to always what it is short for! (Im a [name]Jo[/name]…a common question)!

wow that was super fast! Yes…I thought so too. [name]Just[/name] never came accross it.

[name]Meg[/name] as a nickname for [name]Margot[/name] is fine. I would love [name]Margot[/name] on it’s own, but there’s no reason [name]Meg[/name] can’t be used. I think it’s a great compromise.

I love [name]Meg[/name] too, and I also can’t use [name]Margaret[/name]! I think it totally works for [name]Margot[/name]. [name]Margot[/name] isn’t my style personally, so if I were ever to use [name]Meg[/name], I would just go straight [name]Meg[/name], or I would name her Megara ([name]MEG[/name]-uh-ruh), the name of a Disney character in the movie [name]Hercules[/name] (and a legit character in Greek mythology, but I am not really up on mythology).
