Could these work?

So I was talking baby names with my OH and we both decided we really like [name_u]June[/name_u] (he hates [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] though) but we are stuck on a middle name as nothing flows well with [name_u]June[/name_u] (it always sounds like it should be the other way round, with [name_u]June[/name_u] as the mn). Anyway, my OH is [name_m]French[/name_m] and loves the name [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] for a girl…Could [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] work? Or is it not really useable for anglophones?

I also have another question (sorry!) but we both decided on the name [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] for a boy, and to honour my OH’s father we thought we’d go for the mn [name_m]Gerald[/name_m]… Does [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Gerald[/name_m] sound way too old mannish?

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts girls.

I think you can use [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f], no problem. I would not recommend [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] as a first name in an Anglophone country, but it should not cause any problems in the middle. You are not likely to say her full name on a daily basis, you will be introducing her as [name_u]June[/name_u], not [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f].

I like [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Gerald[/name_m] as well. As to the old man connotation, my mom told me that my son has an old man name. I told her that we sincerely hope that he will be an old man someday. Seriously, I think it is fine. [name_f]My[/name_f] son’s middle name really rarely comes up at all.

I like them both  They work perfectly fine to me.

I like them both. [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] & [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Gerald[/name_m] flow really well.

[name_m]Both[/name_m] gorgeous names! Congratulations!

[name_m]Both[/name_m] are great names!

Thanks everyone for the really great and positive feedback!!!

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Gerald[/name_m] flows really nicely, but I’m not a fan of [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f], it just doesn’t sound right to me.

[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Victoire[/name_f] is lovely.

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Gerald[/name_m] is a bit old-man-ish, but that’s kind of the thing these days. Congrats!
