People talk a lot about sibsets-- names that sound good when said together. But people also say the names of people in relationships together just as much. I love looking at the first names of people getting married in the wedding announcements in the news, because you get some really interesting combinations, and unlike sibsets, they’re not deliberately picked to go together.
What are the best/coolest/worst/weirdest sets of couple names you know?
I visited the Biltmore Estate over [name]Christmas[/name], so this couple is still fresh in my mind: [name]George[/name] & [name]Edith[/name] Vanderbilt. [name]George[/name] and [name]Edith[/name] just sound like they were meant to be together.
I thought I was the only one who looked at couples’ names like that! I am mainly interested in it because I write novels… if the names don’t sound good together as a couple, I just can’t continue with the story, lol. I haven’t been to a lot of weddings lately, so I’m mainly going off of stories I’ve written right now:

My fiance and I have a weird combo I guess. Mine’s a popular 80s name ([name]Jennifer[/name]) and his is really uncommon ([name]Ross[/name]).
These are two couples in my neighborhood - [name]Eric[/name] & [name]Erin[/name], and [name]Eric[/name] & [name]Erika[/name]. Unfortunate, but what can you do when you meet the love of your life and they have a similar name?
Well me and my fiance are [name]Josh[/name] and [name]Jess[/name], which is not good as many people say ‘Jesh and [name]Joss[/name]’ or some other strange combination, it’s just awkward to say. It also doesn’t help that my brother is also a ‘J’ name and so are my OH’s two brother’s, and my OH’s dad! (Oh, and my niece on my OH’s side is also called [name]Jess[/name]!) I will certainly NOT be naming any of our children a ‘J’ name!!!
My brother and his girlfriend are [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Chloe[/name], which I think sounds nice, although both names are uber popular.

I always joke about naming my kids [name]Derek[/name] and [name]Karen[/name], because then our family would be [name]Eric[/name], [name]Erin[/name], [name]Derek[/name], and [name]Karen[/name]. I find it HILARIOUS to say out loud. 
There was a story in 2009 about a couple who got married who had the exact same name, first and last! [name]Kelly[/name] Hildebrandt girl met [name]Kelly[/name] Hildebrandt boy on facebook, messaged him that it was cool they had the same name, they started flirting and they eventually got married! MSN | Outlook, Office, Skype, Bing, Breaking News, and Latest Videos <– This is the article that tells the whole story. I also heard a story of two writers who got married and they were both named Evelyn. So they called them He-Evelyn and She-Evelyn to tell them apart.
As for my RL couples, me and my SO are Kate and Chris. Those I think go together pretty well. A friend of mine is Lauren, dating Brandon, which I think is perfect. Kelly and Scott, and Matthew and Leah, are other favorites of mine.
