[name_u]Harley[/name_u] knowing the both of them was absolutely accidental— while they were friends with [name_f]Peggy[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] was just a regular at their café. After finding out their relation, [name_u]Harley[/name_u] began reaching out to [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], trying to be more friendly.
Being friendly is not Harley’s forte. They have something known as a “resting bitch face”, something that their manager does not appreciate while they are working in customer service. Regardless of what their face might portray, though, [name_u]Harley[/name_u] is relatively friendly and kind— they’re just an introvert.
They live with two of their friends and their collective pet: a Pomeranian named [name_u]Mickey[/name_u].
Sun Ju-Ah (20) is one of the friends Harley lives with. She moved to America when she was 12 because of her father’s job, and still feels a little insecure in a foreign country. Nevertheless, she has managed to make good friends and get on with her life if possible.
Sun is a homebody who likes to spend time with a good film and tasty food. At the same time, she’s very diligent about her studies and achieving her goals in principle. She is majoring in graphic design and already has a good client base. Sun loves animals: she was the one who inspired her friends to adopt Mickey. She enjoys hiking and often does it when she needs to refresh her head and think. Sun can cook well, but this was more of a necessity while growing up with an ever-busy father. Her parents are divorced and her mother lives in Korea with another family. Sun is good with half-siblings, as she missed brothers and sisters as a child. She plans to fly home over the holidays to meet her mother’s new son.
Sun has a boyfriend, but she’s not sure if he’s really the love of her life. Their approach to relationships sometimes differs. Sun takes her partnership very seriously and sometimes gets annoyed at his uncertainty. Sometimes she talks to her friends about it, but generally prefers not to cut corners and see what happens in the future
[name_u]River[/name_u] [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] [name_m]Faust[/name_m] (19) is a roommate of [name_u]Harley[/name_u] and Ju-Ah. The youngest of all three roommates, they ended up living with the two of them when their parents disowned them for being nonbinary. [name_u]Harley[/name_u] has taken up the position as their older sibling, taking care of [name_u]River[/name_u] whenever they needed.
Thankfully, they are still able to go to college, as they won a scholarship worth a lot of money. River’s friends are glad that they can go to college with the rest of them, but they’re worried about [name_u]River[/name_u] and their emotional wellbeing. One of their wealthier friends had told them that her family was willing to pay for their tuition, but [name_u]River[/name_u] vehemently refused, stating that they didn’t want to burden their friend.
Annaleia Idony Gallimore (21) has just started her junior year of college as a Marketing major. She is the wealthy friend of River who told them that her family is willing to pay tuition for them. Her mother works in Califronia as a personal trainer for celebrities while her father owns a car parts factory. Therefore , Annaleia grew up incredibly wealthy and has no concept of how money can be a problem for anyone because she has never worked a day in her life so far outside of a middle-sized Instagram career where she does sponsorships, mostly with perfume brands.
Even if she can seem a little out of touch with reality, she is as worried about River as their roomates and cannot understand how the parents of her childhood friend could have turned out to be so bigoted. She tries to be a good ally to River and even offered to go to Pride with them once, but River was busy studying then. She admires River for their perseverance despite difficulties and is glad that she could be the one to recommed a college to River when they got a scholarship.
[name_f]Mareina[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] Gallimore (Tamlin) (44) is [name_f]Annaleia[/name_f] 's mother. Her family’s occupations have always been firmly connected to the world of cinema. Her father was a documentary filmmaker and her mother wrote scripts for children’s shows. [name_f]Maree[/name_f] has always found it a little amusing that she, too, eventually found herself among the celebrities, helping them achieve strength, flexibility and slimness.
When she was eighteen, at a college acceptance party, she met her future husband. He was the brother of one of her friends, six years older than [name_f]Maree[/name_f]. The acquaintance that ensued between the young people quickly turned into a tender romantic relationship. The young man was the heir to a big business, intelligent, educated, and gallant. The only thing that confused Maree’s parents was the age difference. In time, however, they accepted their daughter’s choice, and their families managed to get along well.
Despite being very busy, [name_f]Maree[/name_f] is very devoted to her home and family. During their marriage, the couple has had three children, the oldest being [name_f]Annaleia[/name_f] and the youngest just finishing elementary school. [name_f]Maree[/name_f] and her husband lead an active social life while managing to be fully involved in the lives of their kids. She also co-founded a charitable foundation to help adoptive parents of children with special needs.
[name_m]Hesperus[/name_m] " [name_u]Perry[/name_u] " Min-hwan Gallimore (11) is the youngest of the Gallimore siblings and has just finished elementary school, now starting middle school. He was the inspiration for his mother and her friend to become founders of the foundation for adoptive parents to children with special needs. [name_u]Perry[/name_u] was adopted from [name_u]South[/name_u] Korea at 3 years of age and suffers from autism, while the son of [name_f]Maree[/name_f] 's co-founder was adopted from [name_u]Sierra[/name_u] [name_u]Leone[/name_u] and has cystic fibrosis. Despite the entirely different natures of their conditions, the boys are friends and get along well because they’re the same age and are both absolutely crazy about video games - particurarly fighting games like Tekken.
[name_u]Perry[/name_u] tends to struggle with sensory overload and has days where he has to use forms of communication alternative to speaking such as writing or American Sign Language - a language that all of his family members speak fluently. His school is also understanding towards the needs that [name_u]Perry[/name_u] has and despite having some trouble socializing, he has already found a few friends in the new middle school. That was possible for him because of joining the math club. He may not be a genius , but he is very good with numbers and wants to work in Information Technology when he grows up. He looks up to [name_f]Annaleia[/name_f] because it seems awesome to him that she studies at university. However, he has the best relationship with his older brother because he is closer in age to him.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] Chastain (10) is a classmate of [name_u]Perry[/name_u]. They sit next to each other in class and she often talks to him about her hyperfixations. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] was diagnosed with moderate ADHD inattentive type, and struggles with paying attention in class. Although [name_u]Perry[/name_u] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] don’t hang out too much outside of school, she really likes [name_u]Perry[/name_u] and wishes they were closer.
She is the youngest of four siblings, and the Chastain family dog, a beagle named Bagel, loves her the most.
[name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] Chastain (17) is Matilda’s oldest brother. He is a little protective toward all his siblings as he sees himself as something like a third parent to them, but especially toward [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] as she is the “baby” of the family. He struggles in school but loves being involved in school and community theatre productions, where he usually does lighting or sound. He is uncertain about his future after high school and stresses about making his parents proud, but if he could find a way to make a living in theatre (backstage), he would!
[name_f]Hafsa[/name_f] [name_f]Qadira[/name_f] Nawaz (29) is [name_m]Graham[/name_m] 's teacher at the community theathre. She majored in Acting but wasn’t able to cast in roles because of being a plus size hijabi woman. This didn’t stop her from working in the field she loves. She chose the position at the local community theathre in order to be able to become a mentor for young , passionate people who want to try out acting or working on the set. Because of what she’s been through, she doesn’t tolerate any bullying in her classes and scolded a classmate of [name_m]Graham[/name_m] 's when he made fun of his hair colour. This made her [name_m]Graham[/name_m] 's favourite teacher and he appreciates that she values the work he does on the set, not judging him for the lack of good grades.
She has a young daughter who will be entering preschool soon and hopes that she can “infect her” with the passion for acting , too. Other than working with youth, she loves going to the park, riding her bike and cooking. She has an iguana named [name_u]Jinx[/name_u] and her students love to look at his pictures.
[name_u]Eli[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] Chastain (age 12) is one of [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and Graham’s siblings and another of Mrs. Nawaz’s students. As the second boy in the family, [name_u]Eli[/name_u] always tried to keep up with his brother. He too has prominent artistic talents and is a very lively boy who has the strength to literally do anything. [name_u]Eli[/name_u] adores Mrs. Nawaz for her attentive attitude to her students and the sense of humor that accompanies their classes. He is one of Jinx’s most devoted fans and even asks his parents to get his own iguana. Earlier, [name_u]Eli[/name_u] and his sisters brought two cats into the house, Tinkerbell and Galactus. In addition to the theater studio, [name_u]Eli[/name_u] is involved in soccer, where he has a good relationship with both the coach and the team. [name_u]Eli[/name_u] loves superheroes and dreams of having a themed party based on his favorite stories. He even tried to draw his own superhero comic book, The [name_m]Black[/name_m] Nighthawk, much to Matilda’s delight.
[name_m]Kellen[/name_m] [name_u]Fred[/name_u] Chastain (11) is the third-oldest Chastain and youngest boy. He was the one who wanted a dog the most and was so happy when the family adopted their beagle named Bagel even if Bagel seems to favour [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. He also likes [name_f]Hafsa[/name_f]‘s male iguana [name_u]Jinx[/name_u] and has never met him but enjoys seeing his pictures when he went to see his brother act. He wants to act when he is older. He loves to visit [name_u]Perry[/name_u] to play video games with him. While he only likes [name_u]Perry[/name_m] as a friend, he has been thinking about his celebrity crushes growing up and finds quite a lot of male celebrities attractive and is bi-curious but is still questioning and has not told anyone. [name_m]Kellen[/name_m] wants to be a good older brother to [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], knowing she is the only sibling younger than him, and wants to help her become closer and better friends with [name_u]Perry[/name_u]. He gets along well with both his fellow Chastains and with the Gallimores.
Jingxue " [name_f]Joy[/name_f] " Huang (19) is the teacher assistant of Kellen’s class. Despite her unconventional appearance, [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a good TA and works with the children if they need help with anything. Although she’s a neuroscience major and wishes to be a doctor, [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is actually a substitute for her best friend, who is currently battling cancer at the hospital. Not wishing to let her friend down, [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is making sure she’s going to be the best TA for her best friend’s students.
[name_f]Joy[/name_f] can come off as aloof and intimidating, but her dark and cold exterior hides a warm heart. She realises her fashion choices can make others shy away from her, but she noticed a lot of creepy men stopped catcalling her, so she supposes that’s a sacrifice she’ll willingly make. She lives with her older brother in an apartment they both share, not wanting to pay too much rent.
[name_f]Amara[/name_f] [name_u]Whitley[/name_u] dos [name_m]Santos[/name_m] (22) also works as a teacher’s assistant in the same school. She was well acquainted with Joy’s best friend and occasionally interacts with her at the hospital. [name_f]Amara[/name_f] is also attracted to [name_f]Joy[/name_f], having been able to see behind the image of the real her. She is sympathetic to Joy’s attempts to insulate herself from unwanted attention, as she herself has experienced harassment and rudeness. [name_f]Amara[/name_f] enjoys working with children: as a teenager she had a part-time job as a babysitter and animator in a mall. She would also like to become a mother herself, but now she has to undergo treatment for infertility. Her family and friends support her in this struggle, which she greatly appreciates.
[name_f]Amara[/name_f] currently lives in a small rental apartment with her three pet snakes. [name_f]Amara[/name_f] is vegan and tries to live green. In her spare time, she travels around her town and dreams of one day doing a big tour around the country and abroad.

[name_f]Amara[/name_f] was the first person 13 year old [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] opened up too as pansexual and so she considers [name_f]Amara[/name_f] as a big sister figure, and goes to see [name_f]Amara[/name_f] often, as her Mother is not open to the LGBTQ community.
[name_f]Honorata[/name_f] [name_f]Kiki[/name_f] [name_f]Tadeo[/name_f] (23) is also a member of [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Amara[/name_f]’s friend group. She used to babysit [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] as well and tutors her. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] knows [name_f]Honorata[/name_f] questions her sexuality and [name_f]Honorata[/name_f] is an ally to [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] as well. She has a more sunny, happy-go-lucky vibe but knows when to get down and serious. She is not a TA however she still works at the school as a cafeteria lady and she uses [name_f]Amara[/name_f]’s vegan advice to help make vegan food and more accommodating food for kids who need it. She has two tattoos on her calves but hides them with long pants during her job. Her left leg has her native Filipino flag and the right leg has words of encouragement from her hospitalised friend. [name_f]Honorata[/name_f] hopes her hospitalised friend will be able to fight off cancer and she and all the other friends in the group support her battle.
Ji-young " [name_f]Stella[/name_f] " Bok (20) is a new member of the friend group, who was introduced thanks to being a fellow neuroscience student alongside [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. [name_f]Stella[/name_f] transferred to the class last minute after her dad almost guilt tripped into her staying at home, an unfortunately consistent pattern that’s been prominent since her mum developed ME and he began putting pressure on his children to always be at home to save money instead of paying for nurses. Now, [name_f]Stella[/name_f] acknowledges how ridiculous this is thanks to their family being very comfortable in their finances, and feels it’s another means of control by her father, who has a lot of coercive tactics she’s come to recognise and dislike.
He isn’t aware Stella’s roommate is in fact her girlfriend, as although he isn’t openly homophobic, there’s been comments he’s made before about certain employees of his accountancy firm which have given his bigotry away. Ultimately, she just wants to protect her mom: a truly lovely person whose kindness and generosity is something her three children (Stella and her two brothers, one older, one younger) always try to emulate and embody. [name_f]Stella[/name_f] wants to use her degree to learn more about ME and provide further relief to those who suffer from it, knowing her mom feels devastated in the restrictions it applies to her life. She has actually come out to her recently, and she’s promised to keep it secret from Stella’s father to avoid Family World War breaking out.
[name_f]Eugenia[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] [name_m]Tadeo[/name_m] (20) is [name_f]Honorata[/name_f]’s younger sister and [name_f]Stella[/name_f]’s roommate and girlfriend. [name_f]Stella[/name_f] knew [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f] before [name_f]Honorata[/name_f] but gets along well with both sisters. [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f] knows the family drama within the Boks and often questions if she is at fault for it, but always promises [name_f]Stella[/name_f] she will keep things under wraps to protect [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and her family. She wants to know [name_f]Stella[/name_f]‘s brothers more since [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is close with her family but doesn’t feel ready to come out as [name_f]Stella[/name_f]’s girlfriend to her brothers yet because she does not know them as well.
Ye-jun " [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] " Bok (22) is the older brother of [name_f]Stella[/name_f], Eugenia’s girlfriend. A double major in economics and journalism, [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] managed to make the best of both worlds and majored in one thing that he wanted. He’s currently working for [name_m]Vice[/name_m] [name_f]Media[/name_f], making videos covering controversial topics. His parents seem to be vaguely supportive of what he does, although they do wish [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] became an economist.
The Bok siblings seem to all follow the trend of hiding their relationships from their parents— [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] has to hide his because of the fact that his parents disapprove of their relationship. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] believes that they’re close-minded, as [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and his other brother seem to love her very much. He’s managed to hide their relationship for three years, and plans on moving in with her very soon.
[name_f]Evangelista[/name_f] “Eva” [name_f]Kya[/name_f] [name_m]Tadeo[/name_m] (22) is the second-oldest [name_m]Tadeo[/name_m] sister after [name_f]Honorata[/name_f] and older than [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f]. She got [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and his current girlfriend together but like the other [name_m]Tadeo[/name_m] sisters, she knows to keep things under wraps to not upset the Boks’ parents because both families are great friends with one another. She is a Vice Media fan and has a side-hustle making indie paintings and selling them online. Her best friend is [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]‘s girlfriend.
[name_m]Corbett[/name_m] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] Easthill (22) is Isaac’s girlfriend, she who is not approved by his parents. This stems from Corbett’s family background: her mother struggled with serious drug addiction throughout Corbett’s childhood, leading to her living mostly with her grandparents, [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_u]Charles[/name_u]. Corbett’s father was completely absent from her life and she doesn’t want to know him, as he fueled her mom’s substance abuse by subjecting her to domestic violence both before and during pregnancy. This dysfunctional background led to many looking down on her and assuming she’d end up troubled herself, especially after she wss diagnosed with dyslexia in high school, something that caused a lot of anxiety and stress for her.
In spite of this, she defied expectations - especially after meeting [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] upon moving high schools when her grandparents decided to move closer to her aunt, uncle and cousins; who she immediately clicked with due to her sharp wit and resilient approach to everything. Her granny introduced her to sewing and [name_m]Corbett[/name_m] has now established her own renewable clothing business with some of her closest friends and other young creators, one of whom is the partner of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and Stella’s brother. She owns a pet tabby cat named [name_u]Frankie[/name_u], who appears on some of her creations and is also prominently featured on her business logo, claiming he’s the only man capable of giving [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] a run for his money in her affections.
