i frequent a lot of create a family with a twist forums, and i’m kind of ridiculous and decided we needed more, apparently.
i wrote rules in a previous topic that goes as follows: i’ll give a full name and age for a fictional person as well as an image of them. a paragraph of description as well (although this isn’t mandatory). the next person will create a person that is related to the previous person in some way (it doesn’t necessarily need to be by blood: it could be a friend, coworker, etc), then it continues.

She lives with her pen-pal [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] and her family. Adjusting to American culture wasn’t the easiest for [name_f]Lina[/name_f], but according to [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], her [name_f]English[/name_f] has improved drastically.
[name_f]Lina[/name_f] and [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] have been writing to each other for two years now, and she’s very happy that her and her pen-pal get along so well. Back home in [name_f]Russia[/name_f], she leaves an older brother and a younger sister. [name_f]Lina[/name_f] doesn’t have a good relationship with her older brother— his alcoholism was a big rift in her home life and she’d be okay with never seeing him again.
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] " [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] " [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Penn-Carstairs (16) is Lina’s penpal and dear friend. Her family are known for being unconventional in the circles they inhabit, as Hettie’s father - [name_u]Robert[/name_u] - has always made it clear she’s the heir to the family agriculture business and has tutored her extensively to take over; even if the prominent patriarchal standards say her younger brothers should get priority. [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] doesn’t care what others think of them though, being determined to find further sustainable resources, and has taken [name_f]Lina[/name_f] to quite a few ecological protests, as she’s a firm environmentalist.
Her grandfather was an alcoholic himself - inflicting scars [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] knows her dad still attends therapy for to this day - and this is what led to the girls becoming close enough for her to invite [name_f]Lina[/name_f] to live with her. They attend the same all-girl school now, which many assume would be a nightmare but [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] loves it, having founded the Eco Society for like-minded people and is also involved in the school paper. In spite of loving gardening, Hettie’s mom - [name_u]Julianne[/name_u] - often takes the girls to get their nails done as a means of relaxation and she admits she’s in-love with acrylics (even if she wants to find a more sustainable material).
[name_u]Robert[/name_u] [name_m]Redford[/name_m] Carstairs (48) is Hettie’s father. The Penn-Carstairs family is tight-knit and is unusual compared to most Modern American Families. [name_u]Robert[/name_u] tries his hardest to be different from his father- [name_m]Paul[/name_m]- who is an alcoholic and this impacted him growing up greatly. He now attends therapy. He has his own business which he intends to pass down to his oldest daughter and not his two younger sons - [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] and [name_u]Charles[/name_u]- who are troublesome teenagers.
Robert’s mum -Helena- is currently ill and in a respite care home but still tries with [name_u]Robert[/name_u]. His sister -Georgia- lives abroad with her family and visits frequently.
GeorgiaGabriella Underwood (Carstairs) (50) is Robert’s older sister. She currently lives in England with her husband Michael, fluffy newfoundland Graham and rescued spotted cat Cosette. Georgia and Michael have two children, a boy and a girl yearlings, who have already fledged from the family nest. Nevertheless, Nana and Pops are always happy to have both them and the little grandchildren as guests. Georgia works as a dermatologist at the local children’s hospital, while Michael is a paediatrician there. They met when Michael came to visit one of his cousins in America and eventually moved to the London suburbs together. Like Robert, Georgia has painful memories of her childhood and has a sharply negative attitude towards alcohol. Despite this, she loves her mother and brother dearly and tries to keep in touch with them both in person and by telephone.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] Underwood (20) is Georgia’s daughter. The younger of the two Underwood children, she’s studying fashion at Leeds Arts University. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] was always fiercely independent, and moved out as soon as she could. It wasn’t anything to do with bad blood with her mother— it was more of Caroline’s need to be her own person. This is sometimes to her detriment, as people have called [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] aloof and uncaring.
Her roommates, though, would disagree. To those she cares about, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] would drop anything for them if she could. She lives with two other people in a small apartment near school, and she wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u] " [name_m]Art[/name_m] " [name_u]Milo[/name_u] Underwood (24) is Caroline’s brother and Georgia’s older child. Currently working as a model, [name_m]Art[/name_m] has achieved success through his savvy approach to social media and being an accomplished hairstylist who actually interned for a hairdressers before his career fully flourished. He owns an apartment close to his parents but is frequently travelling to shoots, campaigns and catwalks, so his long term partner - who he met five years ago - keeps their rescue greyhound, Morph, company in the meantime. Art’s a lot more openly sentimental and jokingly calls himself a crybaby frequently, regularly calling his mum for chats although he gives his sister more space as he knows she loves her freedom.
Through his work Art’s made a lot of friends and connections, loving to hear new stories and he’s writing a little autobiography detailing these experiences. Recently he worked with a model who has Downs Syndrome and became something of a surrogate big brother to them, keeping in frequent contact and is now more interested in doing charity work in his spare time: having plans for a fundraiser with his partner that he’s going to ask [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and their mom about.
This is Art’s newborn niece, [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_u]Indy[/name_u] Underwood. Her mum is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], who didn’t realise she was pregnant until she went into labour.

Some elitists like detracting Charlie’s presence by saying that they’d be nowhere without their career, but they learned to stop caring about voices like that.
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] met [name_m]Art[/name_m] through one shoot, where they became friends instantly. They shared contact information that day, and moved in together six months later. It wasn’t until a full year of living together when [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] asked [name_m]Art[/name_m] out, and they’ve been together ever since. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] came out to [name_m]Art[/name_m] as nonbinary around the same time, which [name_m]Art[/name_m] has been completely supportive of them. In turn, they are very supportive of Art’s endeavours, using their platform to spread awareness of their campaign.
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is the third oldest of five siblings, but contact with the younger ones have been sparse due to their estrangement with their parents.

As the children of a respected pastor and his PTA supreme wife, there’s been constant restrictions placed on all the siblings, with anything outside the norm being instantly rejected and threatened with estrangement. Gigi’s given an especial amount of unwanted and control as the youngest, something that’s led her to follow Charlie’s footsteps, now having a secret online presence she’s keeping hidden with the help of her close friends.
She’s trying to muster the courage to reach out to her older siblings now, but isn’t as bold as them, having a lot ot anxiety about taking such a big step due to the amount of shaming she’s been subjected to when stepping out of line before.
[name_f]Gigi[/name_f] doesn’t quite know what she wants in her future aside from a chance at freedom and living as her authentic, true self. Her plan is convincing her parents to let her attend a far off religious college where she might get a chance to further her independence, but Gigi’s already got a back up in mind about living with her cousins if that’s scuppered.
[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] " [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] " [name_u]Marie[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] (20) is the fourth eldest of the opulent [name_u]Carter[/name_u] family who’s just managed to crawl out of their influence. She is considered the poster child of the [name_u]Carter[/name_u] family, and her mother, [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], often gushes about how [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] is the epitome of the perfect lady.
[name_m]Little[/name_m] does her mother know, [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is a lesbian who is only closeted because she has to be. She has been with her girlfriend for two years now, using her wits and every ounce of strategy she has to make sure her mother and father does not know about her girlfriend. [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] knows how annoyed her girlfriend must be, but she assured her multiple times that once they have jobs and a place to live, [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is estranging herself from her parents immediately.
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is the only one of the [name_u]Carter[/name_u] siblings that knows Gwen’s gay, and they exchange clandestine letters every now and then. [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is a biochemistry major and wants to become a surgeon some day, but recently she’s been wondering if that’s her dream or her parents’ dream.
[name_u]Imani[/name_u] [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] Hazinedar (20) is Gwen’s girlfriend and confident in the complex world of family politics. A fashion major who’s known for her highly editorial and intricate designs, Imani’s considered your atypical It [name_f]Girl[/name_f] around campus and has never shied away from this status, taking pride in both her creations and status. As a Turkish American she often campaigns for womens rights, especially those born to immigrant parents such as herself, as [name_u]Imani[/name_u] and her siblings faced harassment throughout middle school which led to her struggling with frustration and upset - a reality her cool, aloof demeanor hides from the wider world. [name_u]Imani[/name_u] also belongs to a society at her college whicu focuses on giving support to young Middle Eastern students, answering emails and phone calls to give advice and empathy.
In spite of feeling frustration at merely presenting herself as a good friend of Gwen’s to appease the Carter’s, [name_u]Imani[/name_u] does her best to be understanding of her girlfriend’s circumstances, and to be patient in regards to the future. She’s actually been in contact with one of Gwen’s two older brothers, with the permission and knowledge of her girlfriend, which she got away with easily as Mr and Mrs [name_u]Carter[/name_u] barely seem to be phased she exists most of the time. Having faced stereotyping and assumptions about her own parents being controlling before - quire the opposite, as they’re nothing but supportive, nurturing and kind - [name_u]Imani[/name_u] can’t fathom why the woman she loves’ mom and dad are so relentlessly closed minded but knows she can’t change this now. The most she can do is support [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and continue working towards their future together.
[name_f]Jada[/name_f] [name_u]Zuri[/name_u] Hazinedar (15) is Imani’s little sister. She has a boyfriend who she will move in with once she turns 17, as he is a year older than her. She protest against climate change and fracking occasionally, but usually this is her boyfriends thing, he has very strong feelings about the enviroment. She is planning on taking a engineering degree.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] Cloughdan (15) is Jada’s best friend, and the pair are known as J² around school thanks to the similarities in their names. Being the quieter member of the duo who grew up with her single mom and younger brother, after her dad walked out on the family for another woman, Jane’s often the more serious personality, sometimes seeming a bit stoic and humourless to those who don’t know her well. Truthfully, [name_f]Jane[/name_f] feels [name_f]Jada[/name_f] is moving too fast with her boyfriend thanks to the similarities between how her own parents acted - having been high school sweethearts - but she’s afraid of voicing this in case it ruins the duo’s friendship of over eight years.
A member of the school’s LGBTQIA+ Club, [name_f]Jane[/name_f] also anticipates being accused of having secret feelings for [name_f]Jada[/name_f] as a means behind her opinion, something that annoys her greatly as a bisexual who’s preference is other girls - as it dismisses the idea of her having platonic bonds while dictating her own feelings towards someone she cares about. Really she has a crush on the girl she’s doing her history project with - as she’s never met someone as mad about the subject as her until now - but is keeping this very quiet as becoming the center of attention is quite literally her worst nightmare.
Luwen “Lucille” Wu (15) is a mutual friend of [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Jada[/name_f] and the girl [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is crushing on. [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] recently transferred in to [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and Jada’s school, as she recently made a cross-country move. Although she misses her old friends, she doesn’t miss the toxic academic environment that she left. [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] isn’t bad at school by any means, but the pressure placed upon her gave her severe anxiety and a severe fear of failure.
At her new school, [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] has been dabbling in things she was always interested in but not able to do at her old school: joining the school’s national art honour society was one of them. She’s been drawing for the longest time, and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sees the years of doodling all over her history notes. [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] is slightly embarrassed that [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sees her complain all the time, but her best friend teases that Jane’s getting to see the real her.
[name_u]Emery[/name_u] [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] Rosenbaum (15) is Lucille’s best friend and main confident in matters not just Jane-based but a wide range of thoughts and feelings. As a non-binary student, having their name officially changed on all forms of school registration was a big deal to [name_u]Emery[/name_u], who had to constantly make corrections to cover teachers prior to this; a naturally disheartening situation that weighed on their self-esteem more each time. They feel incredibly blessed to have supportive, loving parents who’ve been nothing but considerate and have helped [name_u]Emery[/name_u] educate their extended family, with their mom in particular having a take no bullshit policy when it comes to how people respond.
They’re the eldest of three and love amusing [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] with stories about family shenanigans, considering it fair payment for her gentle teasing. [name_u]Emery[/name_u] themself has little interest in dating currently, instead joking they’re ‘married to their job’ at the school paper, where they focus on hyping up events and generating interest from other students. They’ve been inviting [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] to as many hangouts as possible with their tight knit friend group, wanting nothing more than to see their dear friend fully enjoying this newfound environment (even if relationship drama can be a little too frequent for Emery’s liking).
Nahye " [name_u]Nana[/name_u] " [name_u]Park[/name_u] (15) is a part of Emery’s friend group. As the group’s self-proclaimed “token Asian”, [name_u]Nana[/name_u] was very excited to hear about Lucille’s addition to the group. As the area that she lives in doesn’t have a large [name_f]Asian[/name_f] population, she finds it comforting that she can see someone who looks like her, even if their cultures are different.
[name_u]Nana[/name_u] was also the “token straight” before she realised she had a crush on a girl in her math class. Her group jabs her light-heartedly about her hypocrisy— [name_u]Nana[/name_u] usually despises lovey-dovey couples— and she laughs along with them. The problem is, [name_u]Nana[/name_u] is 110% sure that the girl she likes either doesn’t like her back, or is straight. She’s trying to get over her crush, but it’s failing miserably.
Outside her friend group, [name_u]Nana[/name_u] is a fencer who sometimes gets to skip class to go to competitions. She’s one of the best in their region and wishes the school had a fencing club, and is very close to establishing it herself.
Zvezdana " [name_m]Zev[/name_m] " [name_f]Kristina[/name_f] Rogelj (15) is the girl [name_u]Nana[/name_u] has a crush on. [name_m]Zev[/name_m] emigrated from Slovenia when she was six and already knows she wants to return there for university, not because she dislikes where she lives now but due to wanting to spend more time with her extended family and beloved grandmother. Often [name_m]Zev[/name_m] seems quite quiet and aloof, wrapped up mostly in work or musings about the Photography Club she belongs to, as there’s plans for an exhibition and her inner perfectionist needs to figure out the best theme to focus on for her contribution.
Unbeknownst to [name_u]Nana[/name_u], and practically everyone outside of Zev’s tight knit friend group, she’s asexual - a realistion that took her a while, culminating when a guy everyone insisted was good looking asked her out and she declined. She isn’t opposed to trying dating though and thinks she’d prefer to engage in romantic relationships with women, although she’s trying her best to not rush anything.
Zev’s mothers’ run their own restaurant specialising in Slovenian cuisine, and she often helps out there when she can, doing anything bar waitressing as she really can’t handle the idea of a customer being rude: namely as she knows she’ll fight back. Her two siblings - a sister and brother - are quite a bit younger than her, as [name_m]Zev[/name_m] was born prematurely and her mom who carried her felt too overwhelmed by the stress to want to try again for several years. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though their rowdy antics annoy her - prompting [name_m]Zev[/name_m] to hide out in her room with the family cats: [name_u]Constantine[/name_u], a regal [name_m]Bombay[/name_m], and lovely Norwegian [name_u]Forest[/name_u] [name_f]Cat[/name_f], [name_u]Tierney[/name_u] - she loves them dearly and does basic math tutoring for her sister now she’s starting school.
Minjae " [name_u]Riley[/name_u] " [name_f]Cho[/name_f] (15) is a part of Zev’s friend group and a musician. They are part of a band called The Heartbreak Club. The Heartbreak Club wasn’t supposed to even be a group— initially, it was a joke they and a few of their other friends made— but after releasing music once, they accidentally gained a following. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] told [name_m]Zev[/name_m] about their success, and [name_m]Zev[/name_m] sometimes takes photos that they plan on using for album/EP covers.
The Heartbreak Club is comprised of a few members of their school’s music club. Their sound (for now) is indie pop, but Riley’s excited for what direction they’ll go next. Right now, there’s some tension with Zev’s group and The Heartbreak Club— some members of the band think [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is hanging out too much with [name_m]Zev[/name_m] and the others, and [name_m]Zev[/name_m] thinks that their band is being overly controlling. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] doesn’t know what to do with this, but they’ve apologised to both parties.
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] resides with their mum, dad, and older brother. Their older brother is also a musician, and he produces instrumentals for the group.
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] " AJ " [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_m]Milton[/name_m] (16) is the lead singer of The Heartbreak Club and main opponent of [name_u]Riley[/name_u] hanging out with [name_m]Zev[/name_m]. A Type A personality known for her strong opinions, blunt mannerisms and inability to hold back any kind of opinion, AJ is determined to see the band flourish with their careers, even if it’s at the expense of socialising and external friendships. She’s always been intense about music - beginning vocal lessons when she was only eight years old - but since forming her own band, AJ knows she wants nothing more than to pursue it long term and dreams of finding ‘true success’ (which is what she calls achieving chart status and a record deal).
Her parents - who met while preforming in the same orchestra at college - encourage this single mindedness completely, and arguably this worsens AJ’s dislike of her bandmates pursuing other parts of their lives. When she isn’t telling [name_u]Riley[/name_u] that Zev’s holding her back, AJ is bickering with her sister - who serves as manager to The Heartbreak Club - about going on dates with her significant other, seeing this as disloyalty to a project they began together. AJ and her own girlfriend actually broke up due to her neglect of their relationship when the band fully felt committed to their projects, something she’s hurting over…but will never admit, even to her sister.
It’s arguable her behaviour towards [name_m]Zev[/name_m] and her sister’s partner stems from her frustration and upset about not apologising to her ex who she still cares for, her parents having instilled a sense of pride in AJ that’s as much of a curse as it can be a blessing. She’s a talented soprano who experiments with her vocal stylings frequently and will argue with anyone who calls her dreams lofty, having once chewed a guy out in [name_f]English[/name_f] class when he said the band’s name was unoriginal, and most of AJ’s classmates would rather avoid getting near her bad side. When combined with an impatient streak, this makes her an absolute nightmare for any kind of group projects that aren’t musical.
