[name_f]Martedi[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Teddi[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] Reitano (9) is a friend of [name_f]Frida[/name_f] and Pepita’s best friend, who’s complicated family life is well-known about school and has led to a few less-than-kid opinions surfacing about [name_f]Teddi[/name_f] herself, mostly regarding mental health and how her familial tragedies could shape her own future. While she puts on a brave face around their peers and tires her hardest to ignore these rumours, Teddi’s very sensitive, this having always been her nature before the series of violent acts ripped her family apart in sudden and traumatic fashion. She’s an excellent listener, who always takes time to speak to her friends and does her best to give them advice about what struggles they’re going through.
Like [name_f]Pepita[/name_f], culture is very important to [name_f]Teddi[/name_f], and her nana mostly distracts herself from the pain by teaching her granddaughter how to cook traditional Italian desserts - and [name_f]Teddi[/name_f] can speak the language fluently. She also writes her inner most secret thoughts and feelings down in Italian, keeping a private diary which only [name_f]Pepita[/name_f] knows about; regularly using it to write letters to her late father, as she finds it the best way of keeping his memories alive. [name_f]Teddi[/name_f] has phone calls with her mother too, but they’re irregular and she sometimes feels her grandparents worry about the impact of this, but she can’t just cut her mom out of her life, especially as they shared a very tight bond which hasn’t been destroyed by her imprisonment.
