Yejide " [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] " [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] (26) is Chinue’s older sister, who’s taken a much more traditional path by their mother’s standards. A talented dancer who’s range covers a lot of modern styles, after she found ballet wasn’t fast paced enough, Gigi’s toured as a backup dancer to a large array of musicians and also belongs to a celebrated troupe [name_m]Finesse[/name_m] - which was formed by a student of the lyrical teacher [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] trained under; leading to an invitation being extended to her. In spite of their differences in aspirations, [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] fully supports Chinue and will tell anyone who asks (or doesn’t she’s just going to let you know) that her sister is the funniest person she’s ever met. When they were younger, Chinue would cheer [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] up after she didn’t do as well as she’d hoped at a competition; a pressure exacerbated by Gigi’s dyslexia, which meant academics both never appealed to her and also intimidated her - something her gregarious and sunny disposition hid well from her teachers.
While she recognises Chinue’s talents and hypes her up, [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] never imposes on the podcast, as she also feared her talents would be dismissed due to the [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] family’s success in the entertainment industry. She was even worried that her girlfriend, who she met while touring after they were assigned to work with the same artist, would see her as benefiting unfairly from nepotism before they became close; and still strives hard to excel at her dance, to prove she got there on merit, not name recognition. They’re living in their own studio apartment ten minutes away from Chinue and the space is something they’re already loving, as well as the peace and quiet - well that’s when their rescue dog, a three legged golden retriever named [name_f]Sunflower[/name_f], isn’t dashing about for attention. Gigi’s close friends with an up-and-coming actress too, who wants her to attend the premiere of her new psychological thriller film, but due to both of them being queer women, they know they’re going to have to fend off assumptions about the nature of their relationship: something [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] is perfectly prepared to face head on.
