[name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] Tasker (33) is the midwife who delivered [name_m]Ethan[/name_m], a thankfully uneventful birth. It was actually her first after returning to work following her own maternity leave, now being mother to a precious little boy who she absolutely dotes upon. She conceived through IVF, a decision made several years ago by [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f], who knew she wanted to have a child but isn’t someone that bothered with relationships.
In her last serious relationship, [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] and her then girlfriend did talk about starting their own family, but when Shiloh’s ex was offered a job abroad, it wasn’t her desire to move away from her family and the hospital she loves working at.
Her strong will is something that not everyone she’s assisted takes well to, as Shiloh’s not the sort of person who sugar coats or minimalises anything, especially when someone has unrealistic ideas about welcoming their child. She knows the excitement and how it shapes peoples perspective, even more so now that she’s gone through this herself, but [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] isn’t unfamiliar to people who actively dismiss midwives if their suggestions don’t match a pre-existing vision of the experience.
[name_f]Nenna[/name_f] and [name_m]Giles[/name_m] were thankfully very happy to listen to advice and not make any unrealistic demands or become annoyed at what other people advised them about; a relief to everyone involved. [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] doesn’t enjoy having to disagree with people, as really her greatest passion about her work is witnessing people’s joy at such a wondrous occasion, not debating medical suggestions over and over.
