Originally from Hackney, Fleur’s life wasn’t easy - with her having grown up in care and never having been confident about her future - until she decided to go to a casting on a whim with some friends, where she was scouted and subsequently began her career. Now she’s very successful, having been assisted by her social worker, who [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] remains very close to.
She lives close to [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] and regularly visits when she isn’t windsurfing or handcrafting jewelry, residing in a spacious apartment with her partner, who also moved from the UK to [name_f]Canada[/name_f], which led to the two bonding when they first met. Having grown up in a relatively wealthy family in [name_u]Bristol[/name_u], she moved to [name_f]Canada[/name_f] to go to the University of Toronto, where she majored in human biology. She wanted to go to med school, but has decided to put it on hold for the time being to pursue her dream of becoming a sculptor.
She currently works part time as a barista and also receives monthly payments from her parents, whom she is very grateful for. When she’s not working or sculpting, she enjoys riding her bicycle as well as volunteering at her local animal shelter. She also often Zooms with her younger brother, who is her only sibling.

Working in retail, [name_m]Damien[/name_m] lives with his girlfriend - who he met through mutual friends - and their recently adopted golden doodle puppy, Marshmallow. He enjoys music - having been playing guitar since he was a kid - and spending lazy afternoons with his tight knit circle of friends, often playing card or video games depending on their mood. Sometimes he also goes for long walks, usually to clear his head and enjoy some fresh air.

She works in a music store has a YouTube channel where she posts covers of popular songs as well as her own songs. She has gained some recent popularity and is hoping to be able to do music full time soon.
[name_f]April[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_m]Wilkinson[/name_m] (21) is Kalinda’s co-worker and of recent, good friend. A fellow music enthusiast, [name_f]April[/name_f] belongs to a grunge and alt. rock band called Three Fates, where she plays bass. As the eldest of four siblings, [name_f]April[/name_f] aspires to set a good example and make her parents proud, so she sometimes feels torn between them and her dreams: as she knows pursuing music won’t be the easiest of paths. In spite of this, her sibling closest in age and friends are incredibly supportive, of which April’s forever grateful.
She lives with her bandmate - the lead guitarist of Three Fates - and their two dogs, with [name_f]April[/name_f] having adopted a mastiff named [name_m]Achilles[/name_m] who she absolutely adores. When she isn’t focusing on music in some manner, [name_f]April[/name_f] enjoys experimenting with cooking - being vegetarian - and exploring [name_u]Bristol[/name_u]. Recently, she’s realised she has feelings for one of her fellow band members, but is uncertain of how to express them.
[name_f]Lana[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] Masters (20) is the lead guitarist of Three Fates and April’s roommate. Coming from a well off back ground - with a dash of dysfunction - Lana’s done her best to achieve things without without the backing of her family, not wanting to flaunt status or wealth to her peers. Currently studying to become a therapist, [name_f]Lana[/name_f] hopes on music being something that she can incorporate into helping others, finding songwriting a therapeutic means of expressing her feelings and own struggles.
In spite of the issues that were apparent between her father and granddad growing up, Lana’s remained close to her mother and cousin, who also lives in [name_u]Bristol[/name_u], with the two regularly hanging out. She enjoys graffiti art and composing in her spare time, being in a relationship with a street artist, and they’re regularly checking out new indie spots for the band to play at. When April’s busy, [name_f]Lana[/name_f] loves taking [name_m]Achilles[/name_m] for walks and is eager to adopt a dog of her own soon.
[name_u]Kye[/name_u] [name_m]Zechariah[/name_m] Masters (25) is Lana’s cousin. He’s supportive of her music career, and tries to attend as many of her shows as possible. He had been studying finance before his girlfriend fell pregnant and he had to drop out. He now works as a carpenter in order to support her and their son, who is now a toddler, but he hopes to complete his studies one day. He likes to spend most of his spare time with his family, however he tries to set aside some time in the evening to play video games.
He is very close to his aunt, who adopted him after his single mother (her sister) passed away when he was 9 - he never met his father. He also had no siblings, so [name_f]Lana[/name_f] is more like a sister than a cousin to him. He values his family over everything, and has vowed to be a better father for his son.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] ‘Livvy’ [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] Noack (24) is Kye’s girlfriend and mother of their son. [name_f]Livvy[/name_f] works part-time as a secretary for a family friend, having taken the job as it meant she could stay at home to look after her child, and admits that life was fairly directionless for her until meeting [name_u]Kye[/name_u] - having struggled with her self-esteem a lot. In spite of this, she’s incredibly supportive of her boyfriend and wants to see him finish his studies, hoping that once their son’s a little older and attending nursery, she can work more.
Like [name_u]Kye[/name_u], [name_f]Livvy[/name_f] was raised by her aunt, her parents having lost custody of her thanks to being neglectful, and although she was only 7 when she left, she’s retained some unpleasant memories. This means [name_f]Livvy[/name_f] wants her son to grow up experiencing nothing but love, and she regularly takes him out to the park or on ‘mini-adventures’ as she calls them, in her small car.
[name_m]Fergus[/name_m] [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] Masters (3) is [name_f]Livvy[/name_f] and Kye’s little boy, who’s just celebrated his 3rd birthday. A loving, gentle natured child, [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] tends to stick close to his parents and finds meeting new people a bit intimidating, with family being the exception - especially [name_f]Lana[/name_f], who serves as his primary babysitter when his parents are having some time together. [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] loves being outdoors, always wanting to run around and explore, being obsessed with animals and collecting leaves - which [name_f]Livvy[/name_f] helps him create pictures out of. More than anything, [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] would love a pet lizard of some kind, as he’s just discovering dragons and is obsessed with them.
[name_m]Colm[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] MacPherson (3) is Fergus’s best friend, with the two having met at the park. The younger of two siblings, [name_m]Colm[/name_m] is imaginative and more outgoing than [name_m]Fergus[/name_m], but the two share a love of being outside which allowed them to bond. [name_m]Colm[/name_m] recently moved from [name_m]Cork[/name_m], after his mother got a new job, and has a thick Irish accent that a lot of adults find amusing. He’s obsessed with reptiles and wants nothing more than a pet lizard, although his parents are holding out on this for now.
[name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] MacPherson, nee Brackett (30) is Colm’s mum. A literary editor by profession, this has allowed [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] to raise her son while still being able to work part time, having a very strong bond with him - in part as she shares Colm’s friendly nature, being very approachable and warm. In part this was a result of being one of six children, the third born to be exact, with [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] making lots of friends at school so she could have a break from her siblings - who she loves dearly but their shared boisterous nature’s could be difficult when [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] wanted space and quiet growing up.
An avid netball and piano player, [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] also loves baking - a hobby that led to her meeting her husband, as she worked in a small teashop while at uni that he frequented. She’s imaginative herself, and regularly comes up with stories alongside [name_m]Colm[/name_m], tailoring them to her son’s own interests with ease.
[name_f]Laoise[/name_f] ‘Cici’ [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] Brackett (27) is Ailsa’s sister who just moved from Letterkenny to [name_u]London[/name_u] for her modelling career, having been commuting regularly since she was 20. Cici’s a bit more reserved than her older sister, being quietly confident with an aloof aspect to her nature, and they’ve always been close thanks to finding the loud personalities of their other siblings a bit much to handle at times. She’s very driven though, having always worked as hard as possible to achieve her dreams, which did impact on her relationships, as she goes silent on people sometimes.
[name_f]Cici[/name_f] looks forward to spending more time with her nephew - who she dotes upon, even if she’s a little awkward around kids at first - and is going to be living with her long term friend who’s also introverted, meaning they give each other plenty of space. She’s recently taken up knitting as a hobby, alongside her existing interests in collecting vintage memorabilia and going on long hikes in the countryside to relax.

She is now a wonderful party host but this began as inviting several school friends over to their house as child often leaving [name_f]Cici[/name_f] and [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] feeling a little overwhelmed. She runs a restaurant with her best friend and business partner, she is the front of the house hosting, decorating, and hiring while they are the chef and plan the menus. She is closer to her other more rambunctious siblings but loves [name_f]Ailsa[/name_f] and [name_f]Cici[/name_f] a lot.
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] ‘Rosie’ Lanying Yuan (25) is Naosie’s best friend and business partner. The daughter of a British mother and Taiwanese-British father, she grew up visiting her paternal family often and this is infused into her cooking style - considering her dual cultures just as important as each other and wanting to pay homage to both in her professional life, as well as her personal. Rosie’s a little more serious than [name_u]Naoise[/name_u] but this is what helps them work together so well, and in spite of being pragmatic and ambitious, she loves socialising too - which is how they became so close after meeting at university.
When she isn’t experimenting with new dishes, [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] enjoys running, climbing and swimming - being someone who always likes to keep herself busy. Jewelry is something else she loves, thanks to her older sister being a metal worker who designs her personalised pieces for birthdays and Christmases. She’s been with her girlfriend for just over two years but they’re taking it slow and just enjoy one another’s company, sharing a creative streak, although it manifests in different ways. Recently, [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] adopted a rescue cat - a moggy named Sherbet - who she and [name_u]Naoise[/name_u] dote upon.

She developed a love of animals when she volunteered at a shelter after school and soon was rescuing all sort of animals in her neighborhood. Connecting with her heritage is also important to her so she is part of several online groups to develop her language skills beyond the basics she learned from her mom. She has visited [name_f]Canada[/name_f] several times and has been considering applying for a position at a National animal rescue organization there but it would mean moving away from her mother and stepfather with whom she is close.
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u] ’ [name_m]Len[/name_m] ’ [name_u]David[/name_u] McKenzie (21) is one of Andrea’s employees, who first met her when he was only fifteen and would come into the shelter after school as he wanted to avoid being at home to witness his parents arguing about their divorce. [name_m]Len[/name_m] never really knew what he wanted to do growing up, except that it should involve animals as he adored his nan’s Westie Terrier [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and would always volunteer to take her on walks if his nan wasn’t feeling well enough. For a while he wanted to be a vet but was discouraged once he became aware of the length and complexity of studies - feeling he both wasn’t smart enough to complete them, and also that he found that a daunting task for someone with ADHD. [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] is somewhat of a maternal figure to him thanks to his own parents being distant people wrapped up in themselves and he gives back by offering to work long hours so she isn’t exhausting herself.
Living in a small flat with 2 roommate’s, Len’s now found himself happier than he has been in a long time, and doesn’t speak to his mum or dad that often based on how they ignored him. This gives him more time to enjoy playing the piano and keyboard, as well as going thrifting for new clothes or experimenting with how he styles his hair; helped out as one of his closest friends works at a salon and he’s happy to be her guinea pig. Len’s in a long distance relationship, his partner attending university right now, but they’re both committed to making things work and he regularly sends them pics of the animals at work to cheer them up amidst studying and exams. In particular he’s good with the smaller dogs thanks to his time spent with [name_f]Viola[/name_f], and in turn has proved quite the expert at assessing who’s best to take them as pets, albeit he always respects Andrea’s authority and turns to her once he’s made a conclusion.

Although unspoken, she sided with [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] following the break up due to Penny’s actions and their once close bond has become fraught: worsened by the fact she witnessed her father have an affair when she was a child, and how it subsequently ruined her mother’s confidence - a decision that prompted her to move with the children from [name_m]Wales[/name_m] to [name_f]England[/name_f]. Somewhat awkwardly, it was [name_f]Olwyn[/name_f] who introduced [name_m]Len[/name_m] to his current significant other, and she knows deep down this hurt [name_u]Penny[/name_u], who hoped for a reconcilliation.
A determined, headstrong person, [name_f]Olwyn[/name_f] is fiercely loyal to those she loves - especially her mum - and tries her best to abandon the part of her that doesn’t let go of resentment. She has a sarcastic sense of humour which her friends both love and hate (as she can be endlessly droll if she feels in the mood); but also does her best to give them sound advice and support them in their endeavours, including Penny’s influencer status. This might also be because she’s the eldest of 4 kids and took on a semi-maternal role sometimes to alleviate stress from her mother. Aside from focusing on fashion and styling, [name_f]Olwyn[/name_f] loves going running in scenic nature spots or swimming in the sea, feeling able to completely relax for a few precious hours when surrounded by this.

The only real reason she stays is because of their own children, but frequently confides in her younger sister about how badly she wants to leave. Working as a secretary for a veterinarian, her job provides merciful anonymity and keeps her away from the constant gossip.
