He and [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] are strongly bonded as environmental men. He loves national parks and enjoys preserving nature for the future.
Growing up since he was 4, he liked the same girl. He and this girl grew up and during her teenage years, she got another boyfriend, much to [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]‘s dismay. However in college, they broke up and the girl, now a woman, was finally dating [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m], to his happiness. He has a fellow female high school friend who helped get them together and always rooted for [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. He and his girlfriend were engaged at 23 but unfortunately 6 months later, his dream woman would start to fall out of love and long for her ex-boyfriend from high school. They made the difficult decision to break up and Jeremy’s now-ex and her original boyfriend married. [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] would have been super upset but the pain was eased by the fellow female high school friend. That friend would eventually become Jeremy’s wife and have 5 children with him! [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] is glad he is with the right woman and loves his wife’s personality and motherhood. Although [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] and his ex-girlfriend are happily married to other people, they have since made up and are on good terms and the families’ children grow up together, just like old times.
[name_f]Chanel[/name_f] [name_f]Monet[/name_f] [name_m]Reyes[/name_m] (20) is a roommate of Gideon’s and a friend of his that he met in uni. [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] is Filipino-American, and was overjoyed to live in a house of predominantly [name_f]Asian[/name_f] people, as she felt more at home with people like her. She is currently in pursuit of a criminal justice degree, as one of her friends was murdered and due to a lack of evidence (and what she suspects, lack of proper investigation by authorities), her case ran cold. [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] doesn’t want something like that to happen ever again, so she decided she’d avenge her friend in this manner.
Outside of her educational journey, [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] has gotten into cooking, and posts a lot of the stuff she makes online on her cooking instagram. While she knows she doesn’t want to pursue this as a occupation, she does love the way she brings little bits of happiness into her roommates’ lives. She’s been learning recipes from all of her friends’ cultures as well, trying to make sure that everyone feels at home and appreciated by her.
[name_f]Chanel[/name_f] is the second eldest of six (one older sister, one older brother, three younger brothers, one younger sister) and while she does miss the rest of her siblings, she’s sort of happy to get her own space. She’s closest with her older sister though, and often eats lunch with her whenever she can.
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Teresa[/name_f] Hargreaves (47) is Jeremy’s ex-girlfriend and Chanel’s boss. While [name_f]Chanel[/name_f] is in college, she is working a part-time job at Verity’s company, which works trying to prove peoples innocence. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is married to [name_u]Finn[/name_u], her boyfriend since high school. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] has 4 kids, 1 biological and 3 adopted, seeing as there were problems with her fertility after she conceived her eldest child. Her four kids (Caleb, [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f], [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and Elijah) are into helping out [name_u]Finn[/name_u] with the Hargreaves family bakery. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is an empowered, feminist woman who loves helping the community
Gracie Marie Hargreaves (11) is Verity & Finn’s second adopted daughter. She was adopted at the age of four months from a town close to where they live. Her elder siblings Caleb & Aaliyah were so happy to have her. She herself was very much thrilled when they got her younger brother Elijah. Her birth family died in a car accident on the way back from picking up her bio. elder sibling Hope who was three years her senior from a playdate. She know’s her birth family loved her very much & has contact with her bio. uncle & aunt for whenever she want’s to know about them. She loves school very much though she has dyslexia which runs in her birth family which makes in hard sometimes. Her favorite part is recess where she gets to play with her best friend Maya & their dolls. She also loves dolls especially Gabriella who she got for her ninth birthday. She does also have an oral fixtation from a couple bad foster homes before she found her forever home.
[name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Lea[/name_f] Hargreaves (15) is their bio child and is the eldest. She takes after her Mom and likes to be strong and ambitious. She loves makeup and acting and is trying to convince [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] to do [name_u]Drama[/name_u].
[name_f]Aida[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] (19) is [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_f]Gracie[/name_f], and Elijah’s cousin. She used to babysit for the younger Hargreaves when she was in middle school. [name_f]Aida[/name_f] is an aspiring art major, but it’s getting pretty difficult to choose which specific medium she wants to master, as she loves all of them. Her mother often gets on her case, saying that it’s better to be a master of one rather than a jack of all trades— but [name_f]Aida[/name_f] disagrees.
She’s dabbling in graphic design at the moment, as she’s part of her university’s literary magazine as someone who does layouts and makes the actual copies of the zines. Her best friend suggested to the club president that [name_f]Aida[/name_f] should do the designs, and she’s forever grateful for that. [name_f]Aida[/name_f] has a large friend group of seven, and that makes up for the years she begged for a sibling. She’s an only child, but she’s glad that she can call her newfound friends family.
Renée Grove (19) is Aida’s best friend. She has an older sister who is a client of Caleb’s and neither have middle names due to family traditions. She also considers Aida “family” even though she’s not an only child. Reneé has no children but her older sister does. She and Aida have been BFFs since childhood and she supports Aida in designing. She has a boyfriend who is a videographer.
Thalia Grove (24) is one of Caleb’s clients. She has heterochromia, which she passed onto her child. She also carried on the tradition of not giving her child a middle name, although she’s not sure what she’ll do if she ever gets married: keep Grove as a middle name or come up with a different middle name, and either hyphenate Grove or get rid of it entirely. But she’s not too concerned with that right now. She can’t be. She’s working three jobs to save up enough money that she doesn’t have to rely on child care because her ex is constantly late on child support, and the justice system doesn’t seem to care. Her biological family lives far away, and they’ve never been close emotionally. It is all that Thalia can do to stay afloat and keep on a brave face. Although, lately, she’s been thinking that she should allow herself to stop “being brave” and to get the therapy she needs from all the stress… if she can afford it.
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] ‘Freddy’ [name_u]Grove[/name_u] (5) is Thalia’s son. He likes dancing and singing and is confident. He is autistic and he is friends with [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] (@mea.ola) who goes to his autism support group. Hye-rin (@kitkatcookie) also used to baby-sit him.
So-ra " [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] " [name_u]Lee[/name_u] (9) is another member of Freddy’s support group. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though she was diagnosed with the now-outdated term of high-functioning autism, Sunny’s parents still make her go to these meetings; they’re convinced that [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] would benefit. Sunny’s older brother, [name_u]Atlas[/name_u], thinks it’s unneeded and he’s trying to talk them out of it.
[name_u]Sunny[/name_u] does well in school, though there are some social cues she doesn’t understand. She’ll sometimes up and leave in conversations that do not interest her, and her best friend has to remind her that [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] can’t do that, or else she’s going to look rude.
Yvonne Kate Marios (11) is Sloane and Evie’s first child. She is part of the support group alongside Sunny, Freddy, and Allegra. She has the straight black hair of Evie and has some African and Latina aspects from Jamari. Yvonne does not feel like she belongs in the support group and has her best friend Allegra guide her through. She finds Sunny to be very mature for her age despite being younger but doesn’t quite understand why. She likes Sunny and her family but doesn’t understand why Sunny leaves conversations and feels she doesn’t need support and worries if Sunny doesn’t like her. Atlas explains to Yvonne why and Yvonne starts to understand her more and Yvonne thinks about some of her own social development barriers. Yvonne and her younger brother Leroy are great friends.
Hae-il ‘Atlas’ [name_u]Lee[/name_u] (14) is Sunny’s brother. His nickname doesn’t derive from his given name, it stems from his love of geography and learning. Atlas’s parents have an old fashioned attitude leaning towards their children, especially the eldest child, [name_u]Cove[/name_u], who recently came out as gay. [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] supports his little sister [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] as much as she needs, as he knows she’s different but he hates how his parents just put it down as an out-dated type of autism and don’t get it checked out further, as perhaps something else. He thinks she may have ASD & ADHD as she struggles to plan and is quite impulsive. He always supports his family, and the only reason he is staying and not moving out to live with his friend is to help [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] develop.
Vietta Daisy Goldriche (15) is Allegra’s big sister and knows Atlas for being the big brother of Sunny. Vietta loves animals and enjoys seeing Freddy’s cat when Freddy brings it in. Vietta’s black and white male bunny named Peep is her friend and she loves to sneak him in places. Vietta wants to be a veterinarian when she is older and loves meeting other people’s pets and caring for animals. She feels bad that Cove, Atlas, and Sunny don’t have pets due to their strict parents and uses her bunny Peep as an emotional support animal whenever the Lees see them.
[name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] [name_f]Amber[/name_f] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] (15) is a classmate of Vietta. She’s student council president and plans to keep her position until she graduates high school. Tiffany’s friend group is known for their academic prowess and kindness, although she knows some of her friends are simply pretending to be nice. She wouldn’t call most of the people she hangs out with her ‘friends’— they’re simply people she needs to play nice with because of school politics.
The one person [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] can fully trust is her best friend, the vice president of the council. This is because he told her about some of the ways the rest of their friend group can be underhanded, and [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] doesn’t want to get betrayed like that again. In middle school, [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] was severely bullied by a group of girls who said they were her friends— and this gave her severe trust issues and generalised anxiety disorder. [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] keeps her friends close and her enemies closer— just so she feels that way again.
Ki-hoon ‘Cove’ [name_u]Lee[/name_u] (16) is a classmate of [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] and [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] and [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] (@chamwue) and Atlas’s (Bio by me) brother. He came out as gay last year, and [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] was one of the first people he opened up too. His parents are not particually supportive so he looks to his brother and his friends for advice and support. [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] doesn’t quite understand all the hushed conversations but she likes Cove’s boyfriend an american boy called [name_u]Edward[/name_u] who she has nicknamed [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] and likes to call him [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] DaVinci, getting her Leonardos and her Eduardo’s mixed up!
Edward Sebastian Zaske (17) is Cove’s boyfriend. He was raised by two mothers, so he has always felt more accepted and free to be himself. Even when some people say disrespectful things (about his identity or his albinism, which sometimes they confuse for a stylistic choice), he doesn’t let it bother him for too long. He’s a firm believer in counseling for every-day things. He’s had the same therapist since he was 10, who’s practically family to him now.
He does struggle in school sometimes, since his albinism affects his eyesight and he also has dyscalculia. He likes to joke that he’ll become a math professor or accountant just to show the world that he can do whatever he sets his mind to, but honestly, he doesn’t know what he wants to do in his life yet. He likes building things and reciting poetry, although that’s about as creative as he can get, no matter what Sonny says. He’s okay at science and has a knack for public speaking. But nothing is calling to him yet. For now, he’s just enjoying the ride with his favorite hobbies and his favorite people by his side.
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] Zaske (43) is one of Edward’s Moms. She came out when she was 16 and started dating women when she was 22. Her prounouns are she/they. They want a dog.
[name_f]Kyra[/name_f] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] Zaske (nee Berkowitz) [41] is Hannah’s wife and Edward’s other mom. She is friends with [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] and Vietta’s mother and repects the former greatly on her development and the latter on her love for animals, knowing [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] would love a dog. Along with Edward, she has a 15-year-old adoptive daughter who is genuine friends with [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f].
Rashona Roux Zaske (15) is Kyra and Hannah’s adopted daughter and Edward’s sister. She was born with a middle name that she didn’t like, so when she got adopted at the age of 10, she moved her maiden name Roux to the middle spot, to hold onto the last thing she has from her biological parents. Sadly, not much is known about them. She was in and out of foster homes until she was 9, and she was almost adopted by one family who fostered her for 11 months, but they changed their minds when Rashona was diagnosed with diabetes and juvenile arthritis. She held a lot of anger for them for a long time, and herself. Thankfully, she’s had years to work through it in therapy with the same counselor that Edward uses. But the most impactful method she’s found for healing (and managing her chronic pain) has been through Reiki and ASMR. She discovered it earlier this year and loves it. In fact, she just started her own YouTube channel to help others heal, too. Tiffany keeps telling her that she has a natural connection with people and keeps urging her to join the student council, but Rashona doesn’t think it’d be a good fit for her.
Jae-sang [name_u]Lee[/name_u] (17) is the paternal cousin of [name_u]Cove[/name_u], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u], and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]. Unlike his cousins, he doesn’t go by an English name and is more laid-back, mainly due to watching Rashona’s videos during his free time. He doesn’t like to admit he watches ASMR and doesn’t like to tell people he believes in Reiki but he loves the energy by the videos. He is the senior treasurer of the school and is great at math and finance but does not care so much about the people in the president and vice president positions. He is also the current Vice President of the high school drama club and Vice President of their related tech club, “Tech Ninjas”.
He’s okay at science and has a knack for public speaking. But nothing is calling to him yet. For now, he’s just enjoying the ride with his favorite hobbies and his favorite people by his side.
