[name_f]Irma[/name_f] [name_f]Mayrose[/name_f] [name_u]Roy[/name_u] (24) is Hope’s maternal aunt and Alyssa’s older sister. She loves being Hope’s aunt but knows she wants nothing to do with replacing [name_f]Amy[/name_f] — and she promises [name_f]Hope[/name_f] will grow up with memories of both her aunts. [name_f]Irma[/name_f] didn’t know [name_f]Amy[/name_f] outside of Alyssa’s relationship with [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] but she’s been inspired by [name_f]Amy[/name_f]. She remembers going to the beach with [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f], [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_f]Amy[/name_f], and some other friends. [name_f]Amy[/name_f] asked [name_f]Irma[/name_f] if she wants to swim with the others but [name_f]Irma[/name_f] said no and said she’s just at the beach to “work on her tan”. Looking back, [name_f]Irma[/name_f] regrets saying that and felt she sounded like a “high-maintenance priss” and besides that’s not even the true reason — [name_f]Irma[/name_f] didn’t want to swim because she’s afraid of water but didn’t want to admit it.
You’d think [name_f]Irma[/name_f] would be more afraid of water since Amy’s tragic demise…and she is. But she’s also more determined. She’s admitted that she’s afraid now but she’s wanted to do something about it. [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] has never been afraid of water but [name_f]Irma[/name_f] always has been. She refuses to wear water wings as she believes she needs to act like an adult but truthfully, she still wears a life jacket swimming. Since she’s admitted her fears more, people don’t judge her for her fear or make fun of her for wearing a life jacket. She’d never scuba dive but she will always support Amy’s passion for it and doesn’t judge others much like they don’t judge her. [name_f]Irma[/name_f] knows [name_f]Amy[/name_f] died doing what she loved and [name_f]Irma[/name_f] regrets not admitting to [name_f]Amy[/name_f] about her fear of water — she feels [name_f]Amy[/name_f] would have helped her. [name_f]Irma[/name_f] may not go in the water nearly as much as others but she feels working on facing her fear has helped her in more than just water. It’s made her realise it’s okay to be afraid, it’s okay to tell people how you feel, and it’s made her less judgemental and closer with other people who aren’t judgemental. [name_f]Irma[/name_f] will love and respect [name_f]Hope[/name_f] regardless of what she fears growing up but all she wants is that [name_f]Hope[/name_f] knows she is welcome and doesn’t have to hide it out of embarrassment. [name_f]Irma[/name_f] currently works at a coffee shop where one of Clementine’s housemates works at while one of Clementine’s other housemates works at a coffee shop from the same brand but in a different location in the city. The two shops often help with fundraisers and have special deals exclusive to the two locations only. They’ve made a special deal called “Amy’s Deal” which offers a free doughnut or pastry with your coffee if you donate a dollar or two to help the [name_u]Navy[/name_u].
