Emmadine " Emmy " Cadenza Triano (5) is the daughter of the new club president. She is proud of her mom for becoming the new club president because she felt like Elsbeth would interfere too much with the way the kids play sports games and would make other parents angry and the kids distraught. She also doesn’t uderstand why Elsbeth puts Chris down and why she insists on wearing a straw hat like Nivea does. She herself has a younger brother who is 3 years old and wants to copy Emmy 's yellow outfits all the time. Emmy finds it annoying , so she imagines that Nivea must feel similliar.
Emmy is part of the soccer team along with Ava and Kiki - she also has her 10-year-old buddy , who herself is Italian-American just like Emmy , so the girls have a lot to talk about despite their age difference. Her dad is a translator and Italian teacher , while her mother works as a beautician. Emmy likes to invite Kiki and Ava to her house from time to time so that they can have panna cotta at her house. Her mom also can make delicious tiramiusu , but Emmy knows that she and her friends can’t eat it because it contains coffee and that’s not healthy for kids.
Emmy knows that her mom is a good cook and will support Chris 's crusade in the Parent Board to have healthy food in the tuckshop. She also knows how she can make it cheaper by buying from a local farm owned by the Townsend family. Emmy keeps her fingers crossed for her mom and so do her friends. Emmy also told her mom something that she heard from Ava about her 10-year-old buddy as a " top secret" she told her mom that the 10-year-old has a " big tummy problem after drinking milk " and suggested that maybe 5-year-olds can have it , too , so she should remove milk from the list of available products in the tuckshop.
