Everly Jane Foster “Evie Jane” (19) is majoring in education at Brown University. She has three good friends she made during her freshman year who she shares an apartment with and is glad to have them. Evie Jane also has two older sisters and three older brothers and they are all very close.
Her parents divorced when she was six and her mom is mostly out of the picture, having moved to England soon after the divorce. She has heard that her mother remarried a professor but none of her siblings or her were invited to the wedding. Her dad has recently become engaged to a woman who the family already loves dearly.
Everly works as a waitress at a bistro on weekends and Friday evenings and enjoys the positive atmosphere that the family owned place has. She also has a huge crush on one of the waiters there and is hoping to get enough courage to say more than hi to him one day. The redhead loves photography and dearly loves thrift shopping. She has a corgi named Misty.

He started working at the bistro after moving to attend college, where he’s majoring in chemistry, although if you asked him now, [name_m]Link[/name_m] couldn’t tell you where he wants to go in terms of his career. Surfing’s his greatest passion - which influenced his choosing of university - and he used to work as a lifeguard, but decided to work at the bistro thanks to a recommendation of a friend, who also works there as a chef. [name_m]Link[/name_m] received his nickname from his dad - who began as his foster father and subsequently adopted [name_m]Link[/name_m] shortly before he turned 18, as he and his wife didn’t want the young man to find himself isolated once he was legally an adult.
Link’s biological mother placed him into foster care when he was 4 after spending a lot of time leaving him with strangers and he struggled to settle with his foster placements until he was 11 and placed with his parents. Moving away from them was difficult but his mom encouraged [name_m]Link[/name_m] to follow his preferences and he’s incredibly thankful of her support. He has a younger foster sister, who was recently placed with his parents, and they’re starting to bond after some awkwardness, as [name_m]Link[/name_m] never really had any sibling figures throughout his prior placements.
Thanks to his own background, Link’s a very understanding, compassionate person who always makes time to greet his colleagues and smile at them throughout their shifts. He thinks [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is very cute - although his friends’ are banned from saying this in her presence - but never quite knows what she thinks of him due to her distance, so Link’s decided to not pursue anything. Often his fellow science major friends come into the bistro so they can hang out with him on his break, and they usually occupy one of the window areas for some coffees and discussions about their latest seminars, as drama is very rare within the group.

He is a chill and casual individual as well and hates drama like many of the other friends, so he understands that [name_m]Link[/name_m] doesn’t want to be awkward around [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and band his friends from making it so. He is good friends with two of [name_f]Evie[/name_f] Jane’s siblings. [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] doesn’t work at the bistro but does work at a nearby thrift shop and loves shopping there as well. He is very happy with his friend group and isn’t looking for love but is still open for something new in his life – a new pet perhaps?

He is a photographer and enjoys doing wedding photography the most. Two years ago he got married to his high school sweetheart. She and [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] have a daughter who is three years old and another baby on the way.
He teaches photography classes at the local community center and enjoys that to the full. The busy man also volunteers at an animal shelter and plans to take [name_m]Link[/name_m] there because there’s an adorable puppy he thinks [name_m]Link[/name_m] will like.

[name_u]Cory[/name_u] [name_m]Junian[/name_m] “CJ” [name_m]Foster[/name_m] (24) is the younger brother of [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and the third-oldest after [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and his twin sister. CJ was a surprise pregnancy of his parents who didn’t expect a baby a year after having twins, but after CJ’s birth, they loved the idea of a big family and would have more children after him. CJ is currently seeking higher education in veterinary school. He and [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] are very close and CJ was Tyler’s best man at his wedding with his now-wife. CJ is a proud uncle to their daughter and baby-to-be and although CJ isn’t a dad, his kooky jokes have proven that uncles can be just as corny with jokes as dads.

[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_f]Yvette[/name_f] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] (25) is Tyler’s twin sister and technically the eldest sibling, as she was born 14 minutes before him. In many senses, she’s his polar opposite: right now, Shiloh’s working towards becoming a psychotherapist and isn’t intent on settling down with anyone as of now - being perfectly content to spend time as the beloved aunt of her twin’s children instead of rushing into anything. While her last relationship wasn’t abusive, [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] felt pressured by her ex-boyfriend to make further steps towards marriage when she’d made it clear her studies came first, and she only wanted to start having kids after finishing her degree so she had absolute time for them - but he disregarded her wishes on multiple occasions, and after a mutual friend informed her he wanted to propose, [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] called things off.
This lead to her nickname becoming ‘The [name_u]Ice[/name_u] Maiden’ by several of her ex’s friends, who thought she was being completely unreasonable, but Shiloh’s never paid any attention to this and is even more focused on pursuing her dreams. Right now she lives with two of her friends who are fellow academics working towards doctorates and is very happy in this environment. She regularly walks the dog of one of her roommates and if [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and his wife want a break, [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] brings her niece along, as the little dachshund is absolutely enamored with every person she meets. Arguably Shiloh’s her nieces favourite and she’s very proud of this, although she jokes she has an advantage being Tyler’s twin, and she’s always been exceptionally close to him, in spite of their differences.

She recently graduated college with an [name_f]English[/name_f] degree and is working at a cafe while writing her book. She also has her own book blog where she gives writing advice, and rates the books she reads.
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] earned her nickname from the fact that since she was a little girl she’s loved tea. She says she got that love from their dad who is practically a tea fanatic. She isn’t currently looking for love but wants to have a family eventually. [name_f]Tea[/name_f] has two very close friends who are writers as well and they often get together to riff off each other.
She loves being apart of a big family and her siblings and father are dear to her. [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] was nine at the time of the divorce and took it really hard. She loved her mom and was hurt when she left. [name_f]Tea[/name_f] took the longest to warm up to her father’s now fiancée and was a bit bitter at first but the two get along well now and she’s happy to have a mother figure in her life again. She is not as busy as her other siblings and watches her when the others can’t, taking her to the cafe for some delicious pastries or hanging out at the park with her.

He is the closest with his father’s new fiancée due to their mutual love for blogs. [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] is a firm believer than unexpected things do happen, even if they haven’t happened for him. He has a girlfriend and thought they had an unplanned pregnancy but it turned out to not be the case and she wasn’t pregnant. Still, he wants to be more responsible and is very close with [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] and his children. Like [name_f]Tea[/name_f] is is also majoring in [name_f]English[/name_f] and also wants to graduate with an [name_f]English[/name_f] degree. He is more of an article writer than an author but greatly loves Tea’s writing. He and [name_f]Tea[/name_f] love to give each other feedback. [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] is working from home as an article writer for a local blog and loves it when he gets to write about places to go and things to do in his city — and his personal favourite is his article about the bistro.

While she has nothing against [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and her sister’s relationship, [name_u]Billie[/name_u] knows a baby coming into the mix signalled disaster, as her sister’s only just started attending college on a scholarship - which likely wouldn’t have been for long if she was expecting, due to the strain of responsibilities. As a psychology student with plans on entering the field of psychiatry, [name_u]Billie[/name_u] tries to not psychoanalyse those around her as she considers it disrespectful, however she knows her sister wouldn’t have been able to handle giving up her dreams longterm and this would’ve created resentment that would inevitably break down the relationship between her and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. [name_u]Billie[/name_u] herself was diagnosed with OCD at 17 and finds an understanding of the mind allows her to handle her own condition easier - specifically the rituals she engages in daily to prevent anxiety from overwhelming her.
At school she was labelled as ‘weird’ due to her specifications and actually ended up transferring to a specialist academy for teenagers experiencing mental health conditions and disorders that impacted on their learning - albeit [name_u]Billie[/name_u] moved because she couldn’t stand the relentless judgment any longer. Here she met her best friend and they’ve shared their experiences of being labelled on a regular basis, with [name_u]Billie[/name_u] hoping her future will dispel rumours, assumptions and stereotypes about OCD that she and others face frequently. She’s otherwise become much more confident and assertive, even more so than her older sibling who’s non-binary and known for their composure; having a good approach to stress based on everything she’s been through. [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is openly asexual and right now not too interested in dating while she continues with her studies, but thinks once she’s applied for her next degree, she might dip her toe into the pool to get a feel for things. [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] " [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] " [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] (21) is Billie’s ex girlfriend and current best friend. Their breakup was mutual— [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] simply realised that they were truly better off as friends. She’s also friends with [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and watched the pregnancy scare drama with a facepalm. [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] are childhood friends, which made [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] all the angrier when [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] didn’t tell her first. Then again, maybe her reaction was something he was afraid of. Fiercely protective of her loved ones, [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] would go to any length for her family— blood relations and otherwise.
This protectiveness stems from her childhood: for a lot of Tasha’s formative years her mother worked long hours, forcing her into the role of a second parent. Although this parentification wasn’t intentional at all, [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] still holds a lot of resentment for her mother.
[name_f]Tasha[/name_f] is neighbours with [name_u]Billie[/name_u] at their university, although with how much time she spends with her best friend, she might as well live there.

She’s also become friends with [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] after they found out that they both enjoyed thrift shopping. [name_f]Rita[/name_f] was a bit shaken by the pregnancy scare and she and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] had a long talk about being more careful afterward since children are not apart of her plan right now. Not to say she wouldn’t want any later on.
[name_f]Rita[/name_f] is glad she got a scholarship for college and is eagerly pursuing her dream of becoming a fashion designer. [name_m]Even[/name_m] as a young girl it was clear that [name_f]Rita[/name_f] loved fashion and she’d often cut outfits from magazines and paste them on her walls. She’s close to her sister and it hurt [name_f]Rita[/name_f] to see [name_u]Billie[/name_u] being judged for her OCD. She was happy when [name_u]Billie[/name_u] switched schools and found a good friend.
[name_f]Rita[/name_f] often frequents the cafe [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] works at and is close friends with one of the baristas there who’s niece wants to be a fashion designer and therefore looks up to [name_f]Rita[/name_f]. Although she isn’t much of a writer she loves reading over Sawyer’s articles when he asks for feedback and is really proud of his work.

She and [name_f]Rita[/name_f] bond more since [name_f]Rita[/name_f] knows [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] will be on maternity leave next month and [name_f]Rita[/name_f] likes having connections with the [name_m]Foster[/name_m] family. Like [name_f]Rita[/name_f], [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] has an older sister that she is close to as well. Her sister has a daughter too, and the little girl loves fashion and wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up. She knows [name_f]Rita[/name_f] and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] are not ready for children yet and respects their take on that since she always wants people to think for themselves. She has a secret, the baby she is expecting was a surprise pregnancy. However with a happily married life and a daughter excited to become a big sister, [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] is more than happy to be having a new baby.

Like [name_u]Billie[/name_u], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] was relieved when the pregnancy alarm turned out to be false, and spent quite some time talking with their sister and [name_f]Tasha[/name_f] about the situation as it unfolded. [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] tends to act as a soundboard ror their siblings and [name_f]Tasha[/name_f], who they consider another sister in every sense of the word. They were a little more forgiving of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] in the scope of things, while understanding the frustration and anger felt by the others, but [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] tends to believe in giving every one a second chance - although they can be much more steely if someone betrays their trust, stemming from how a friend of their’s in high school abandoned them once [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] came out as non-binary, having claimed they were just doing it for attention given that [name_u]Billie[/name_u] was starting to struggle with her OCD manifestations. [name_m]Even[/name_m] now, when this person reached out to finally apologise for what they put [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] through, they’re needing time to reach genuine forgiveness.
Recently they founded their own unique business with a childhood friend: a bicycle shop/vegetarian cafe, that appeals to people with a health centric outlook. Although their parents joke about it’s patchwork nature of the establishment, [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] and their friend are experiencing a lot of success, which has made them both very happy given it took a lot of time to get a loan to help them purchase the building space required. They take care of the cycling side of things, having always been keen about bikes from a young age, after their mum began teaching them when they were six. [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] cycled to school by choice in spite of a bus being available and participates in competitions when they feel up to it, although right now this is less common due to their business being the main focus for them. They’re currently living with two of their close friends - not their business partner as [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] jokes it’ll destroy their working relationship - and their individual pets. [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] has a pet cat of unclear breed named [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], who they rescued themselves after she was abandoned, being unable to leave her at the shelter when taking her home was suggested.

[name_m]Antonio[/name_m] is Rhys’s business partner and also jokes along that living with his business partner is “not the best choice for business” but gets along great with Rhys’s friends and supports [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] since childhood. [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] are both vegetarian and both went vegetarian at roughly the same time at age 12. [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] have different stories on how they became vegetarian; [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] transitioned from ethical meat-eater to pescatarian to vegetarian while [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] gave up wearing anything derived from animals and went vegetarian at the same time. When [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] was eight, this was the first year of school where he and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] weren’t in the same classroom and that’s where he met [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] and bonded with him.
Both [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] are very outdoorsy and love nature. [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] loves flowers and is a local florist. She likes to make beautiful flower arrangements with various types of flowers. Her favourite events to make flower arrangements for are weddings and she has collaborated in quite a few of the same weddings with [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] as the wedding photographer. While [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] isn’t married, she is dating [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] and plans to surprise him with a new pet, a rescue cat as well. She really gets along with [name_f]Rita[/name_f] and believes she could have potential to design wedding attire when she achieves her dream as a fashion designer. She is glad [name_f]Rita[/name_f] isn’t pregnant and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] herself had been falsely rumoured to be pregnant. However unlike [name_f]Rita[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] knew she wasn’t pregnant and the rumours were from bullies. These were the same bullies who bullied her throughout college, calling her “fat” and telling her to “go on a diet”. The school took care of that incident but one of her bullies found out her twin brother was doing a bicycle shop/vegetarian cafe with his friend and said “How can a man who co-owns a health-oriented business have a fat whale as a twin?” It made a lot of people dislike the bullies, so they spread a rumour she was pregnant instead. [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] have banned the bullies from their business and stood up for [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]. [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] actually does a lot of water sports like swimming and loves to walk, so she truly is healthy. Some of Rhys’s roommates also like water sports as well and are friends with her. [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] is also very healthy and loves cycling best although he jokes that “Rhys will always be better”. [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] has an individual pet too, a male cyan parakeet named [name_u]Flip[/name_u].

[name_f]Aisling[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] O’Connor (20) is a new addition to Rhys’ business and a now-acquaintance of both [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]. A college student who bakes for fun, she decided to turn her hobby into a profit to help pay for college as well as earn some pocket money. Although [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] herself isn’t vegetarian, she has a couple of friends who are, and wants to be able to accommodate them when she can. She is of the firm belief that anyone can eat what they want, omni or otherwise, as long as they don’t impose their dietary habits on other people. She respects her coworkers though, and has thought about going vegetarian for a couple of weeks to see how she likes it.
[name_f]Aisling[/name_f] is an artist, and has offered to do some murals for [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] for some money as well. She feels bad for often adding a price tag for her services to her friends, but she’s gotten in the habit of it due to her parents not accepting the career path she’s pursuing— often telling [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] that being an artist isn’t a real job. She’s taking multiple jobs out of spite to the point of near burnout, but she tries to hide all of this so her parents can’t say that they told her so. Her roommate has noticed this and has begged [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] to take a break and try to ignore her parents, but of course, that’s easier said than done. Her group of friends, who are also dealing with what [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] is dealing with, and herself are working on a new zine about art being a part of the human experience. Not only is it something she’s passionate about, [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] hopes that this upcoming work will help her parents see why she loves art so much.

She’s very passionate about art and always has been but feels bad that her parents don’t accept her career choice. [name_u]Holly[/name_u] tries her best to not let it get to her though.
She and her boyfriend have been together since their junior year of high school and are still going strong. They have a one year old son who, though an accidental pregnancy, they love very much. Holly’s parents weren’t very supportive of that either but she hopes they’ll come around eventually. She wasn’t completely without support though. Her older sister who has a family already was there for her through everything and watches her nephew while [name_u]Holly[/name_u] and her boyfriend are at school.
[name_u]Holloway[/name_u] has made the acquaintance of [name_m]Antonio[/name_m] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] as she has stopped by their business after [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] started working there. She isn’t a vegetarian but loves to eat healthy and enjoys the food there. [name_u]Holly[/name_u] loves nature almost as much as art and her paintings usually feature that. She was on the swim team in high school and still enjoys swimming when she can.

He is good friends with most people, but tends to be nervous around them the first time and tends to be shy. Out of shyness, he mistakenly thought [name_f]Rita[/name_f] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] would be snooty about the fact they were not pregnant while [name_u]Holly[/name_u] was pregnant. But after getting to know them, he learns they’re nice women and they both respect him for being a good father and supporting his girlfriend and say he is doing a much better job than they ever could. They’ve since met his son and know how happy he is with his parents. [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] himself has said [name_m]Thien[/name_m] is “the last person you’d expect to get a girl pregnant”. However he supports [name_m]Thien[/name_m] and was mostly just surprised seeing this, especially since the way [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] found out was when he got a text from [name_m]Thien[/name_m] about it that was clearly meant to be sent to [name_u]Holly[/name_u]! [name_m]Thien[/name_m] was so embarrassed but [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] played it cool and said he’d be there for the baby when he was born. The baby boy is now 1 and both [name_u]Holly[/name_u] and [name_m]Thien[/name_m] love to have him visit [name_m]Jaka[/name_m] and visit Holly’s sister.

Lita’s admittedly surprised at how [name_m]Thien[/name_m] and [name_u]Holly[/name_u] handled the pregnancy revelation, as she can’t imagine becoming a mother right now, especially as she’s still majoring in graphic design and fine art at university and through [name_u]Holly[/name_u] has been linked up with [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] regarding a zine collaboration. She’s very much happy to be the ‘cool aunt’ to her niece and nephews currently, having helped design and paint the murals in their rooms recently as a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] gift. [name_f]Lita[/name_f] earns extra money through online commissions which she advertises on her art insta, but usually lives frugally as she hates the idea of her parents going into debt when they’ve helped her access college in the first place. Part of this is influenced by her awareness of why her parents waited until her older brother was 6 to have her: they needed to stabilise their jobs and housing situation - moving from an apartment to a small house - before continuing to grow their family, however once [name_f]Lita[/name_f] was born they decided two children were enough.
Sometimes [name_f]Lita[/name_f] can be a little too sardonic for her own good and is known for her deadpan humour, which she knows is ‘unbecoming of the baby of the family’. She loves urban exploring - and has been chased off properties a few times by security - but it’s taken a while for her to find people at college who share this interest in comparison to her friends from high school; many of whom are out of state for uni right now. Her closest friend - who she met in dorms and they know live together with 2 others in a house share - has also introduced her to cave exploring, which [name_f]Lita[/name_f] took to immediately thanks to how little the dark phases her. The confinement was a bit more of a shock but she’s resolved to work on her bravery and push herself further. When she isn’t out somewhere - visiting family or adventuring to some capacity; Lita’s experimenting with her makeup or sifting through her closet to see what can be replaced. She’s admitted she can be a little high maintenence but hey, everyone deserves to be at least once.

[name_m]Anthony[/name_m] [name_m]Cian[/name_m] Fitzharris (27) is Lita’s older brother and Holly’s brother-in-law. He works for a tech company in a high ranking position and is very happy with his job but he always tries to make time for his family. [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is happily married to Holly’s sister and they have twin sons and one daughter aged 3 and 1. Their daughter was adopted as a newborn and they are hoping for another child soon.
[name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is more of a reserved man but he has had one good friend since middle school. Lately he’s had a sneaking suspicion that his friend is going through something but hasn’t pressed for information. He will of course be there for his friend if he decides to speak up. [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] is very supportive of [name_u]Holly[/name_u] and [name_m]Thien[/name_m] even though it doesn’t exactly put him in the good graces of his in-laws, not that he ever has been, and his wife is very appreciative of that.
