[name_m]Filip[/name_m] [name_m]Bjarne[/name_m] Landsverk (14) is Alice’s little brother and the boy who likes [name_f]Mikki[/name_f]. [name_m]Filip[/name_m] was born right before the Landsverks moved to the USA. The kids at Filip’s school don’t really understand Norway…at all. When he told them he was born there, [name_f]Mikki[/name_f] was one of the only people who actually seemed interested, while everyone else started treating him like a dweeb. Why? Apparently the freshman boys think that Norwegian people are skinny, dorky, weak losers, which is the complete opposite lol. While [name_m]Filip[/name_m] tried to tell them about vikings and the harsh conditions up in Norway, they still treated him like a weakling. This has led to Filip’s obsession with being a “super-tough macho man” (the words of his sister).
Recently, he got into a fight…over [name_f]Mikki[/name_f]. Not knowing what she’s been through, [name_m]Filip[/name_m] thought she might like how tough and intimidating he is. The two of them had been talking for awhile, but the fight really made [name_f]Mikki[/name_f] re-think her choices. [name_m]Filip[/name_m] has been getting into more and more fights recently, much to the concern of everyone, honestly. Therapy hasn’t really worked and Filip’s parents are worried he’s sneaking out and maybe getting into drugs and alcohol. Luckily, that isn’t really what [name_m]Filip[/name_m] wants; he just wants to look tough.
[name_m]Plenty[/name_m] of girls have crushes on [name_m]Filip[/name_m], but he really really likes [name_f]Mikki[/name_f]. Not just her looks, but her personality. After a friend of Mikki’s told [name_m]Filip[/name_m] about what has happened in Mikki’s childhood, [name_m]Filip[/name_m] felt extremely bad and apologized to [name_f]Mikki[/name_f]. While she forgave him, their relationship wasn’t repaired. [name_m]Filip[/name_m] has been getting into more fights now, angry from his stupidity, rejection, and just…everything! His behavior has become a concern for other girls at his school and [name_f]Mikki[/name_f] has been staying away from him. No matter what, [name_m]Filip[/name_m] won’t quit, and so he has been required to go to school counseling and maybe change his classes that he has with her. It is devastating to him, and [name_m]Filip[/name_m] is desperate to stop getting so angry. He’s been suspended a few times now, and if he gets suspended again, it might turn into expellation. This is a huge concern for his family, and they are trying to get him some help.
His most recent fight has left him with a black eye. It wasn’t his fault…this time. He was actually trying to protect a few 7th grade girls he saw being harassed on his way home from school. It turned out that one of his classmates, a ninth grader, was trying to get one of the girls to kiss him. [name_m]Filip[/name_m] punched the boy square in the face and beat him up while the girls ran. He told the guy “You better not touch one of those girls again or I swear I will kill you.” The dude didn’t bother him or those girls again, but it wasn’t over for [name_m]Filip[/name_m]. His parents were very angry when they saw the black eye that [name_m]Filip[/name_m] had recieved, but when [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and a few other kids who were also walking home at that time vouched for him, he was treated almost like a king. Unfortunately, this has bursted Filip’s ego, and he is hoping that if he brags about saving some people, [name_f]Mikki[/name_f] might return his feelings.
