[name_f]Danielle[/name_f] Hyeri " [name_u]Dani[/name_u] " Choi (23) is the bassist of Sephirah and the baby of the group. [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] initially thought [name_u]Dani[/name_u] was 16 when she first met her, but the group members laughed, and [name_u]Dani[/name_u] was jokingly mortified. Dani’s youthful appearance is a running joke amongst the band, and even though she’s only two years younger than all of them, [name_u]Dani[/name_u] is treated as the group’s collective younger sister. She isn’t complaining, though— [name_f]Electra[/name_f], [name_u]Ronny[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and the lead guitarist are all very loving, and she wouldn’t trade them for anything else.
[name_u]Dani[/name_u] dropped out of college to pursue music, something her doctor father and lawyer mother could not fathom happening. Her siblings weren’t of any help as well: her eldest brother (whom she still has no contact with) continuously badgered her through calls and texts until she threatened to report him for harassment. Though the relationship between herself and her parents has since improved, it was extremely rocky when “D-Day” occurred. When they found out [name_u]Dani[/name_u] was auditioning for bands a day before she was going to tell them, they cut her off financially for a month: for some reason, they thought that was the best way to get [name_u]Dani[/name_u] back to her senses. This scorched earth method her parents used traumatised [name_u]Dani[/name_u], and she’s grateful that she found Sephirah when she did 'cause she doesn’t know what would have happened if she didn’t.
When the band blew up, though, her father reached out with a message stating that he was incredibly sorry for what he and her mother did to her, and he knew apologies meant nothing now, but he was so proud of her success. Initially, [name_u]Dani[/name_u] met him with severe distrust— as did the rest of the members— but they soon learned that the parents immediately regretted their decision but decided to give their daughter space. Since then, [name_u]Dani[/name_u] has repaired the once-burnt bridge between her parents, but she knows she’ll never be as close to them as she once was.
Outside of Sephirah’s activities, [name_u]Dani[/name_u] is currently seeing a fellow bassist of a “rival” band [name_u]October[/name_u] 32nd. The rivalry isn’t real— it’s just a bit that started on Twitter, and they’ve used it ever since— and the bands collaborate often. The relationship isn’t official, though: [name_u]Dani[/name_u] and the bassist are just seeing if they’re compatible. [name_u]Dani[/name_u] hopes they are, though— she thinks they’re lovely.
