[name_m]Roger[/name_m] ’ [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] ’ [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] Dao (28) is Audrey’s brother and father of Alasne’s child, whose world has been rocked in the aftermath of his sister learning why his relationship ended. [name_u]An[/name_u] impulsive, reckless person who prioritises personal gratification above most things, [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] cheating was something his wife almost anticipated from the moment they’d settled into life as a couple. They wed almost instantly after graduating university on a whim, when his carefree, spur-of-the-moment tendencies charmed her, as he always knew how to make her laugh or suggest something to take her mind off the stresses of life.
However, as they’ve grown up a little more, [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] hasn’t matured the same way his wife has. Working as a bartender and shift manager, he’d stay out partying and drinking with colleagues instead of agreeing to more low-key evenings of her choice, as she was often exhausted, working long hours as a travel agent to help keep them afloat. One of the employees he oversees is in a band - Frenemy - and this is what led to him meeting [name_f]Alasne[/name_f], as the girl in question invited her new producer out for drinks, in thanks for helping with their latest EP.
At this point, [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] and his wife were not in a good place, as she’d finally put her foot down regarding his partying and asked that he sleep in their guest bedroom if he was going to be coming home so late, something her light sleeper tendencies were always impacted on by. Part of [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] can admit to himself that the fling with [name_f]Alasne[/name_f] was to recapture a sense of freedom from any/all responsibilities and escape from his marital problems, although he doesn’t speak of it to anyone, especially [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
For as shitty as a partner [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] proved himself to be, he does want to have some involvement in his child’s life, but - at Audrey’s clear insistence - he’s kept his distance to spare [name_f]Alasne[/name_f] more pain; never mind the woman he married, who’s trying her best to keep composed. He’s been contemplating child support, however a spanner has been thrown into those works: his wife’s just discovered she’s pregnant, and now he’s going to have two children born to different women, whom he knows [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] will want to have a relationship, given the fact his and her’s is in such a poor state.
