[name_f]Sereia[/name_f] [name_f]Yanet[/name_f] Terronez (23) is the lead guitarist of Frenemy, former employee of [name_m]Mace[/name_m] [name_u]Bar[/name_u] and person who blames herself a bit now for the affair between [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] and [name_f]Alasne[/name_f], given her associations are what led to the fateful meeting. Part of the shock to come when the reality of Alasne’s situation emerged was the knowledge [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] was even married. Based on what information [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] was privy to, she’d long assumed he was separated or divorced, as it seemed [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] was so emotionally distant from his wife, the majority of staff thought they were just living together for financial reasons. Although she’d already left her job at this point thanks to the band getting their big break, Sereia’s ended her friendship with [name_m]Roddy[/name_m], that initially survived her leaving to pursue music full-time. She was incredibly disappointed and aggravated to hear of how he behaved, as well as enduring a sense of betrayal thanks to how he deliberately skirted the truth if it meant pursuing what he wanted; having little faith in the idea of him becoming a father thanks to his continued immaturity. Cheating isn’t something she’s been personally subjected to - a massive relief for [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] - but she’s been pulled into the crosshairs before, just not on a level actually regarding children: something she’s been upset by.
Part of her was also frightened about the backlash the band could endure, as [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] couldn’t help but wonder if [name_f]Alasne[/name_f] would hold anything against her, due to her being the lynch pin if sorts in this. She actually requested to speak to [name_f]Alasne[/name_f] and offered to leave Frenemy if it meant she’d be more comfortable handling their recording process and production elements, as to spare her friends any awkwardness. [name_f]Alasne[/name_f] isn’t the sort of person who’d hold any unfair grudges though - given it was [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] who chose to behave in this manner, no-one was egging him on or manipulating him - and she’s now aware that there was a lot of misinformation he allowed to be believed by the other bar employees surrounding his marriage. [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] has several friends still working at the bar who’ve kept updated regarding things, and the news Mrs Dao herself is now expecting absolutely flawed her. There is an unpublished song by Frenemy detailing the madness - titled ‘Audacious Reality’ - but they’ve only shared it with [name_f]Alasne[/name_f], to help her with the process of emotions, and won’t ever be performing it publicly.
Raised by a single mother, Sereia’s the only member of Frenemy who’s an only child. Technically, she now has a stepsister - her mom got married three years ago, after becoming involved with a man working at the middle school where she was a supply teacher for a few weeks - who’s a few years older than her, but they haven’t had much contact as her stepsister has a young family [toddler and five month old baby], meaning she’s usually based at her own place, while Sereia’s travelling with her band or just about finding moments to see her mom. She’s always supported her daughter’s musical talents and drive - in spite of some family friends feeling it wasn’t a good idea in the long term - and has both a song dedicated to her on their first album, as well as another explicitly written about her on the most recent Frenemy EP: don’t forget a jacket.
Given all the drama that’s swirled about [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] - part of it stemming from before she was born, when her parents split up and her dad cut off all contact - she can seem a bit of a wary person, preferring to stick to those she knows well, and seems aloof at first glance [some would say a little moody if being less charitable], without much of a social streak. However, she’s very confident and determined where creativity’s concerned, having a great love of all kinds of artistry, even those she’s got no talent for. [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] lives with the bassist of Frenemy in a small apartment, and they’ve not got any pets themselves thanks to travelling often for gigs, however she adores her mom and stepdad’s Lagotto Romagnolo, Cardigan; showering him with affection and fuss whenever she visits home. She’s also often experimenting with her makeup and enjoys standing out while performing, even if she’s happier to let her bolder bandmates take the weight of attention where socialising’s concerned.
