Critique our little girl names. I need help!

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due in [name_u]November[/name_u]. Big brother is [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]

Harbour ***** my favorite! Husband hates
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (husband fav)
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (husband fav)
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] (maybe sounds too much like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m])
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u]

The only name I am crazy over is Harbour. So frustrating!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are; [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] (prefer this spelling), [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_u]Tegan[/name_u]/[name_u]Teagan[/name_u]. Have you considered [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] or [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], they might be a nice mix of your styles.

Not a fan of [name_f]Cora[/name_f] names bc of a negative association with another person. Thank you for your help! So hard finding a name you both love!

I’m a fan of harbour too! I think it is beautiful. Maybe an option would be [name_f]Arbor[/name_f] so that it is more conservative to appeal to your husband. Other ideas:
[name_u]Adair[/name_u]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
[name_f]Amorie[/name_f]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
X

He already vetoed [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. [name_f]Amorie[/name_f] is very pretty!

Since you love Harbour:
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Harmony[/name_u]
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_u]Ocean[/name_u]
[name_u]Rain[/name_u]
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f]
[name_u]Holland[/name_u]
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f]
I can see how you wouldn’t want a super common name like [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. They are lovely names just over-used. From your list, I like [name_u]Tegan[/name_u].
Since you like [name_u]Tegan[/name_u]:
[name_f]Taryn[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_u]Cailin[/name_u]/[name_f]Kaelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]

What about [name_u]Harper[/name_u]? Same sounds as Harbour, but more mainstream like your husbands’s picks.

What about taking one of his choices and using Harbour as the MN? [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] Harbour could be quite pretty, or even [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Harbour? Combining your styles is likely your best bet

Harbour ~ I definitely see why you like this name so much, but I think [name_u]Harper[/name_u] sounds a bit more pleasant and doesn’t have the “harboring a grudge” association.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] ~ Beautiful, no matter how you pronounce it.

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] ~ [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] ~ Reminds me of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Meeker, who were married to each other (they weren’t related). They’re kind of a big deal, too – especially if you live in the western USA. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if you don’t, the sound is too similar (and it would probably creep me out a bit to meet two siblings with these names). :frowning:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] ~ Meh, I’m not crazy about it in the first name spot (sounds like someone mispronouncing the word “clear”) but that’s just a personal, insignificant peeve. It also seems a bit modern and soft for [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. Maybe you’ll like [name_f]Clara[/name_f], too. It’s got similar vibes to me. XD

[name_f]Eva[/name_f] ~ A little too matchy.

[name_f]Evie[/name_f] ~ This is a little bit better.

[name_f]Jane[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] sound great together!

[name_u]Tegan[/name_u] ~ Beautiful, but seems a bit out of place next to [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. Goes well with [name_m]Mitchell[/name_m] though!

Favorites w/ [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]:

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]

Good luck! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] I wasn’t being too harsh. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] “[name_f]Evie[/name_f]”

Of all your names, I really love the name [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and also I love the suggestion of [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I personally think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is too close to [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], but that’s a matter of preference.

In case you’re looking for more options, I know twins named [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f]–I always thought the names went well together.

Harbour- I think this is lovely. If you can’t get your husband on board, maybe compromise and have it as a mn?
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- An elegant, solid classic. The nn’s [name_u]Caro[/name_u] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f] are very sweet too. [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] is great too.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] ([name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is my favourite spelling). The nn [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] is my favourite and I think it is a stunning name.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]- While [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is gorgeous, it is way too similar to [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]- A lovely classic.
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name. Personally, I prefer [name_f]Eve[/name_f], but [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is still lovely and has a bit of spunk.
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]- Great, earthy, sassy nickname name.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]- Underused classic. Not my style, but still a great name.
[name_u]Tegan[/name_u]- Personally not my cup of tea- I find it a bit dated, especially next to such a classic like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], but it is still a good name.

Good luck! Did you need any suggestions, or were you just after opinions? Have a great day :).

I love all the feedback and am completely open to suggestions as I want both of us to [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name!

I like Harbour! I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] goes best with [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] personally though!
