Crowlet #3 has landed

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

[name_m]Just[/name_m] to let you know after all the hormonal crises and pondering the crowlet has landed and has been named.

[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Corbinian joined us last week and [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] are super proud to be his big sisters.

We have followed our naming pattern of three names - one we like the sound of, one family name beginning with J, one guilty pleasure.

[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] appeals to my husband’s love of Germanic history and myth and my gothic tendencies as the name of the [name_m]King[/name_m] of the Visigoths who sacked [name_m]Rome[/name_m]. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is for my beloved and much missed grandfather. Corbinian is the name of a medieval [name_m]German[/name_m] saint which combines the Latin root for crow and the old [name_m]German[/name_m] root for raven according to the most popular [name_m]German[/name_m] name website. Crows and ravens are two of my favourite animals.

Thanks again to the Nameberry community for the support and entertainment during my pregnancy

congrats! I just love all the names in your sibset, they sound so wonderful together. And I’ve always found girl names to be so much easier to like than boys but [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is one of the few boy names i absolutely adore

Thanks all,

Very kind! Our little Visigoth is making us very happy!

Congrats. I love your children’s names.

Congrats on your baby boy! I absolutely love the names in your sibset! Good job mama.

Very nice indeed! I’ve always been an advocate for [name_u]Corbin[/name_u]! The funny thing is that my husband doesn’t like it because it means ‘crow’ - LOL. Why are you such a fan of those particular feathered critters?

Congratulations on [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]'s arrival!

[name_f]Susan[/name_f]

Very handsome!

Congrats to you and your family on the safe arrival of your third child, [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Corbinian. A strong, unusual and memorable choice.

Wow, congratulations! Such pretty names for all three of your kids.”Good luck with little [name_m]Alaric[/name_m].

Thanks again for the kind wishes, hoping to take our little boy home today and resolve the argument between his sisters over his nickname. I like both, don’t know why they’re arguing! They are between [name_u]Ari[/name_u] and AJ.

@iwillpraise I love crows and ravens because they are intelligent, beautiful and also the many amazing artistic and literary references to them. [name_u]Love[/name_u] all birds but crows are just super!

Congrats! [name_u]Love[/name_u] to see the name [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] being used

What a cool name! I have always liked [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] as a name, though not sure I could ever get DH on board (though he did agree to it as a MN if our first had been a boy).

Anyway, congrats! Such cool names for all your kids!

Congratulations on your new little one! I love all of the meaning and history behind his name. I also adore your girls’ names!

Awesome name! Congratulations!!
