Crowley?

Hi berries

I’ve been wondering if Crowley is a usable name or not. I’ve been in love with this name for awhile now and I was wondering if it was usable.

I think it’s usable. It’s cute.

My first thought is Aleister Crowley, but I think it’s usable!

I think it’s usable! It reminds me of [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] and [name_u]Finlay[/name_u], but less common, which is nice!

My first thought was one of the main characters from Good Omens played by [name_m]David[/name_m] Tennant (Harry [name_m]Potter[/name_m], Doctor Who)

When I first heard the name on the show, I thought it would make a cool first name, and I still believe this. Go for it!

Was gonna say the same- very Aleister Crowley. Terrible association and it’s the only one I have. In theory it’s not bad and probably a lot of people wouldn’t know who he was so. [name_m]Crow[/name_m] though isn’t the best in there either

Reminds me 100% of the demon from Supernatural. I’m only part way through the series but I don’t think he’s a very good namesake

@Mickeywich I second this! One of the main reasons [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] is almost unusable for me even though it’s one of my favorite names!

I think its definitely useable. I love surnames as fn.

I also first thought of the demon character on Good Omens played by [name_m]David[/name_m] Tennent. I don’t think this show will be a runaway hit to define the name, but thought you should be aware of this very dark character association.

Another huge Supernatural fan here.

Crowley is a villain that has a character arch, so he’s a fan favorite. I don’t find the arch good enough to redeem him, so this is 100% a villain name to me.

That being said, I can still imagine my pre-Supernatural self considering this name. I think it’s a bit awkward because there isn’t a good shortened version of it. [name_m]Crow[/name_m]? This reminds me of the name [name_m]Soren[/name_m], which can be a bit tough because the shortened version is reminds people of a cold sore or something…

But they’re only 2 syllables so that’s not too bad… And I just looked up the meaning and one site said “hunch back.”

Idk, I guess between all that, it’s not an enjoyable name for me :pensive: But all that matters is whether or not YOU love it
