Cruz has always looked a bit incomplete to me and I much prefer the meaning of cruise. Worried if it looks too different or if it will be hard for people to spell
Also can’t find any good sibling names to go with it as all my favourite boy names are quite soft and one syllable like Jude, Beau, Beck and Gus
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] feels like a name to me, whereas [name_u]Cruise[/name_u] just looks like the word cruise, which I find a little odd for a person’s name? I’d stick to the [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] spelling!
I think [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] works with [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u]! They’re softer but still have a cool, more modern image, like [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] does. Short boy names that I think match [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] but could still appeal to you are [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_u]Drew[/name_u], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], [name_m]Elio[/name_m], [name_u]Enzo[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_u]Griffin[/name_u], [name_m]Hal[/name_m], [name_m]Harris[/name_m], [name_u]Holden[/name_u], [name_u]Luca[/name_u], [name_u]Orion[/name_u], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Rex[/name_u], [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_u]Sal[/name_u], and [name_m]Wes[/name_m] (or Wesley).
Definitely [name_u]Cruz[/name_u]. [name_u]Cruise[/name_u], aside from [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Cruise[/name_u] and sailing vessels, is associated with crusing for sex.
Definitely [name_u]Cruz[/name_u]. It means ‘cross’ and is more of an established name whereas [name_u]Cruise[/name_u] means…all sorts of things. [name_f]My[/name_f] immediate thought is ‘cruise ship’ but then there’s the slang meaning as well so not really ideal.
I really like [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] and [name_u]Beau[/name_u]!
[name_u]Cruise[/name_u] does look more satisfying, but [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is an established name, so I’d go for that.
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] and [name_u]Beck[/name_u] is cute, however I wonder if some people will assume “Beck” is short for “Beckham” (who has a son named Cruz). [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought. I don’t know how popular the family is where you live.
I immediately think of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_u]Cruise[/name_u], and of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] (or the Beckhams’ son).
Having said that, both spellings have a “cool” vibe to them! I think I prefer [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] for a first name.
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is an established Spanish name, while [name_u]Cruise[/name_u] just makes me think of the word. Personally I’d go for [name_u]Cruz[/name_u].
I’m an unpopular opinion here. I adore [name_u]Cruise[/name_u]! It’s cool and more unique to me. [name_f]My[/name_f] immediate association was also sailing things which is not bad for me at all. If you like it and are fine with the associations just go for it.
I like the sound a lot but for some reason I could never get on board with this name… [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] just feels like a very cultural name and cruise feels like the ship . I guess if I had to pick- I’d go with [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] as it seems more name-like.
[name_m]Crew[/name_m] on the other hand- sounds almost the same but just feels more substantial to me. I love [name_m]Crew[/name_m].
