I really love the name [name_f]Frida[/name_f], the [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f] association is a huge plus point. However, in [name_f]England[/name_f] it’s usually considered as an outdated name, such as [name_f]Hilda[/name_f], [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], [name_f]Phyllis[/name_f].
But I think [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] would make a lovely name, perhaps?
Could the name [name_f]Frida[/name_f] possibly make a comeback among the likes of [name_f]Edie[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f]? Or is it possibly too dated to make a comeback?
I also quite like the name [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f]? But again that also seems clunky and outdated. Maybe my poor future children will be subjected to sharing their names with the elderly population.
So in essence, I would love to know what others think of the name [name_f]Frida[/name_f]/[name_f]Freda[/name_f]/[name_f]Freida[/name_f] and possibly even share some middle names?
I’m in [name_f]England[/name_f] too, and I’ve met little girls called [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_f]Selma[/name_f], [name_f]Maude[/name_f], [name_f]Ethel[/name_f], [name_f]Peggy[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Ida[/name_f]… in short, [name_f]Frida[/name_f] would fit right in. I really like its strong, no-nonsense, retro vibe and the artistic connection is another huge plus. Go for it!
Middle name ideas: I like [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I think you can either go full vintage, or balance it out with something fresh and youthful.
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and [name_f]Maud[/name_f] are such gorgeous names!
I really love [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] or even [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], very darling.
[name_f]Frida[/name_f] is making a bit of a comeback in Australia actually so I’m sure it will in [name_f]England[/name_f] too. I’ve come across a few actually. It’s a great name!
I love [name_f]Frida[/name_f], and actually all the examples of “outdated” names too. Old =/= bad. [name_f]Frida[/name_f] is great and the combos you’re considering are lovely.
[name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] is definitely clunky and outdated to me, though [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] is a cute, spunky nickname.
However, [name_f]Frida[/name_f] is lovely and definitely up for a comeback. It’s spunky and unusual, and doesn’t actually strike me as dated at all. It reminds me of [name_f]Freya[/name_f], if you’re looking for an even fresher name, but if you love [name_f]Frida[/name_f], it’s more than usable!
I think [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f] is cool, actually. I like [name_f]Alberta[/name_f], and [name_f]Alfreda[/name_f]/[name_f]Alfrida[/name_f] feels very similar to me. Definitely a statement-making name, though!
[name_f]Frida[/name_f] is my favourite. I’m glad you liked some of my suggestions. [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] is utterly gorgeous! I’m tempted to steal it, haha.
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]!! A little baby girl called [name_f]Alberta[/name_f] would be so adorable, with the nicknames [name_m]Albie[/name_m] or [name_u]Bertie[/name_u]. I know of a little girl called [name_f]Albertine[/name_f], with nickname [name_f]Alba[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Frida[/name_f]. It reminds me of [name_f]Frida[/name_f] [name_f]Kahlo[/name_f], the actress [name_f]Freida[/name_f] Pinto and the model [name_f]Frida[/name_f] Gustavsson. To me it reads as international and sophisticated.
I live in the UK and I’ve only met one elderly woman named [name_f]Frida[/name_f] – or maybe her name was spelt [name_f]Freda[/name_f]. I’ve met more elderly woman named [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and that name is already back in style. In any case, [name_f]Frida[/name_f] strikes me as usable and I don’t think it’s too old-fashioned.
